Franklin Delano Roosevelt is a fraud. Go look at any presidential rankings by the "experts", and FDR is guaranteed to be in the top 5. He usually lands at number 3, but sometimes even at the top. That's what happens when the people being polled are historians and history professors. Their love for progressivism and spending leads to overrated Roosevelts. Both of them.

Below, I have listed the top 10 reasons FDR inflicted temporary and, in some examples, permanent damage on America. His audacious and tacky memorial built in DC should be bulldozed and the space used to honor a true American hero. Each of the ten below are indisputable facts. And each could truly warrant a long form essay (or book) on it's own! If you read below and still believe the "historian expert" hype that this guy is a Top 5 President, I would love to hear the argument.

Bottom 15 President. Easily.

1. FDR extended the Great Depression much longer than it should have due to his big government interference. The U.S. was the last country to recover, and it was really the beginning of WW II that completed the recovery.

2. FDR rounded up 120,000 Japanese American CITIZENS and threw them in concentration camps, often for years. Property was seized and stolen. This alone should disqualify him from having the largest monument space in DC. Disgraceful.

3. FDR outlawed private ownership of gold. When confiscated, the government paid citizens $ 20 per ounce. They government then set the price at $ 35 per ounce once it had all the gold.

4. FDR refused to admit any Jewish refugees during the war solely because of optics. He thought doing so would lower public support for the war.

5. FDR, like a true leftist useful idiot, thought he could charm Stalin into being a good guy. His appeasement resulted in Soviet control of Eastern Europe. Do you think 50 years of the Cold War was bad for humanity? Thank Frank.

6. The Roosevelt administration was infested with Soviet spies or sympathizers. Many policies were influenced by these leftists.

7. FDR tried to suppress free speech by creating the FCC and limiting the length of radio licenses. This made it easier to revoke licenses of those critical to the administration.

8. The administration created a policy to seize farmers crops to reduce supply and drive prices up...to help the farmers. Of course, the starving public did not exactly have the extra money to spend. Even better, when the government seized too much, they had to import crops! What a disaster!

9. FDR popularized the Executive Order and used it very liberally (pun intended) to get around those pesky representatives of the people. King Frank didn't even pretend to respect our fake Constitutional Republic.

10. King Frank's thirst for absolute power didn't end at the Legislative branch. He tried to take over the Judicial branch as well. On multiple occasions he tried, and almost succeeded, in packing the Supreme Court in order to get his way. Fortunately, he was stopped every time by Congress.

But he was warm and fuzzy on those fireside chats, at least.
