“No-Nonsense Nomar.”
After playing parts of nine seasons as an All-Star shortstop for the Boston Red Sox, he played shortstop, third base and first basefor the Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers, and the Oakland Athletics. When he returned in 1997, Garciaparra set the league on fire in his rookie season. He hit 30 home runs among his 209 base hits (a Red Sox rookie record), and drove in 98 runs, setting a new MLB record for RBIs by a leadoff hitter and most homers by a rookie shortstop. He also batted .306, and his 30-game hitting streak set an A.L. rookie record.Garciaparra also stole 22 bases, and his 11 triples led the league. He was named Rookie of the Year in a unanimous vote, competed in the Home Run Derby as well as his first MLB All-Star Game, finished eighth in MVP voting, and captured the Silver Slugger Award for AL Shortstop..On July 31, 2004 Boston decided to trade him away. Over parts of nine seasons, Garciaparra finished his Red Sox career with a .323 average, 178 home runs, and 690 runs batted in.

The Red Sox have an opportunity to earn a series victory on Wednesday, as they’ll complete a three-game set with the Tampa Bay Rays at George M. Steinbrenner Field.

Alex Bregman will not be in attendance.

Bregman, who powered a victory in the middle game of the series, is headed back home to witness the birth of his second child. The Red Sox added him to the paternity list and backfilled his spot on the roster with utility fielder Nick Sogard.

Sean Newcomb will start for the Red Sox, looking to turn around his misfortunes and grab his first victory for his hometown club.

The Sox and Rays are scheduled to take the (minor league) field at 7:05 p.m. ET, following an hour of pregame coverage on NESN.

Yellow fucking jersey's?

I hope they lose every fucking game going forward - unless they burn those abominations in centerfield during the 7th inning stretch!
they're 35-13 in them

Don't care. It's like they're willing to suck some dick for a win.
They can suck all the dick they want as long as they win as far as I'm concerned. I don't care what they wear if they're winning.
