Aaron Rodgers Legacy Watch: Can You Even Favre, Bro?

Time to see where Rodgers writes himself in the pantheon of Hall of Fame quarterbacks who went to other teams for the end of their careers.

S-Tier: Brady (unmatchable, the aura alone)
A-Tier: Manning
B-Tier: Montana/Favre

My prediction is it’ll be a classic Jets train wreck.

Most sane people probably have Rodgers near the bottom end of their All-Time top 10 list. Brady slayed him in that NFC championship game w/ the Bucs.

Shang Tsung Mortal Kombat fatality. Tom took his legacy-soul.

And earlier, before that, after two years of cementing his playoff reputation as terrible, Peyton game-managed an annoyingly good Denver defense passed Cam Newton and ended up with a better playoff-reputation than Rodgers has now, even after getting exited by Baltimore and absolutely romped by the Legion of Boom in the most hilarious Super Bowl ever.

If Rodgers can’t hit an AFC Championship game like Favre or Montana, he is dropping like a stone All-time after retirement.

My bet is that Rodgers and the Jets do not reach the Conference Championship. Not this year and not any other.

Rodgers as the GOAT was clown-world Brady hate. The Bills and the Dolphins are both only unpredictably-good and Belichick’s gone, so the Jets could take the Division, but I certainly wouldn’t bet any money on even that happening.

Can see Rodgers eeking out his own place below the others (Brady, Peyton, etc) with a Wildcard entry and a Divisional Out.

Yes.

If Rodgers wins another ring that changes things. Right now he's outside the top 10 for me as well. No mental toughness whatsoever in the playoffs.

Rodgers is not in the top 10 to me either. If he can win a ring with the Jets than that changes things ...

Aaron is not Top 10.

But he sure is a great American patriot. Unless he still has that gay Freddie Mercury moustache, in which case I'll have to rethink things.

Heber? Did you mean Bobby Herbert of the Saints? If so, interesting add to the top 20.

Rodgers faces his Daddy 49ers tonight. A win tonight would be a nice statement game for him. While Rodgers has been vastly overrated by the media for years between his first Super Bowl win to 2020, there's no doubt he's one of the best in the game.

Had the media not ball washed him for so many years, people would've seen that Rodgers was carrying some pretty inferior teams for many years. He's had his share of playoff chokes, but most of his losses were against teams that were exposed the Packers lack of talent on both sides of the ball.

He's got a pretty balanced team and should push for an AFCCG if they stay healthy.

Probably only QB that can go toe to toe vs Kermit in AFC if he's healthy.
What a pathetic year for me as a Chiefs/Rodgers Hater

The throwing RB known as Lamar Jackson just went toe-to-toe with Mahomes, almost literally.

So don't despair. K.C. can be had.

The really had no business beating the 49ers twice and even the Eagles, but they keep pulling wins out of their asses.

I think the Jets will get thrashed, but it IS Week 1. Anything could happen. On paper, they don’t match up well with this 49ers team as we know them. Especially on the other side of the country.

Aiyuck and Williams pulling a Chase could help the jets, too.

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Aiyuk or Chase got injured in the first part of the season. You can’t just hop back into the NFL. TC is important for your body and your timing.
