Stats is what is remembered. Some people still have Tony G as the GOAT because of his volume.

No.... They have tony G because has was another fake TE who didn't block but was smooth as silk running routes, and who got pimped for it constantly in the media. Blocking gets ignored by the ignorant, as does number padding and era change.

Not necessarily. A tight end job is to block as well and besides Bavaro in his heyday there hasn't been a better blocker than Gronkowski. He was like a extra tackle out there.

Kittle is the only TE in Gronk’s sphere. He’s a heck of an all around tight end. Kelce is a great player but not close to either. If we take blocking out of the equation and evaluate solely on receiving, how does Kelce compare to Justin Jefferson, Tyreek Hill, etc? Kelce should never be brought up in any type of “greatest” discussion. Not greatest of all-time, not greatest of this time.

Agree. Kelce is a great possession receiver and TE in name only. Kittle is more like your traditional TE - great receiver down the seam and over the middle. Willing and able blocker.

exactly, its not like he just blocked as an inline TE.... he was a DOMINANT blocker, basically like you said having another high level Tackle on the field.. he was 1 on 1 countless times against ELITE defensive ends.. like some of the big hall of fame type DEs... he blocked JJ Watt 1 on 1 on multiple occassions in a game

countless other elite, HOF DEs that he was put 1 on 1 against.. not as a chip blocker or double team, but legit 1 on 1 on the outside against some of the most elite pass rushers.. and he DOMINATED them

Kelcie is a WR

Hes more like Aaron Hernandez was, a Z type TE that moves around like a WR.. AHern wasnt a true TE and neither is Kelce
