I pretty much stick to DK so that scoring system will reflect my rankings and strategies. But other site discussion is welcome of course.

I love it, for those who are on DK, and haven't tried it, or are unsure what it is. Read below.

It's a 12 team league, 20 players per roster. No Kickers, No Defense. Each week you start the following:
QB - 1
RB - 2
WR - 3
TE - 1
FLX - 1

The flex can be RB/WR/TE

The best part is you do not choose your starters for the week, the highest scorers on your team go into your lineup automatically.

A typical balanced roster build would be:
QB - 2 or 3
RB - 5 or 6
WR - 7 to 9
TE - 2 or 3

You may want to go with only 2 QB's if you have a top tier guy like Mahomes, or Hurts. Same with TE if you have a Kelce or Andrews.

Scoring on DK is full PPR with lots of yardage bonuses, and QB's TD's are 6 points. It's very high scoring.

What is the DK buy in range for a league like that? I dabble in single game DFSs now and then, but I can't gamble online in CA. So, I play in December when visiting Boston for the holidays and my iPhone's location changes.

$3 and up for tournaments right now, there are $1 and up for "sit and go".

For anyone that doesn't know..

The tournaments you are in a 12 team group, you have to be in the top 2 or 3 through week 14 to make the playoffs, then you get shuffled into new groups, and you again have to be at the top to advance. This continues to week 17 for the final. Obviously you need a lot of luck to win big here but the payout for the big ones are huge. like 1.5 million to 1st.

Sit and Go is just 12 teams that compete through week 17 to take home the prize. Could be winner take all or payout 2 or 3 top teams.

This is the top contest, it pays out just over 1000 prizes. The lowest is $1k

The cool thing about Best Ball this time of year is you can get in "slow draft" which gives each manager 8 hours to make your pick. Drafts can take a couple weeks to complete. It really allows you to think about roster construction and is great practice for upcoming season-long drafts.

I currently have 10 teams drafted on DK, and 5 teams drafting live (slow draft) 3 entries in the big 15M but I got 1 free one with a promotion, it' a $20 entry.

No surprise but I have a ton lot of Drake Maye, though he is my QB #3, Patriots pass catchers are super cheap too for stacking late.

I've had to drafts in a row where I picked late 1st, and went "Hero RB" With Bijan or Hall, and found myself with both Nico Collins and Tank Dell. I do not mind this at all.

The top prize from 1 contest probably like $750. I've had a few really close calls for 10K -ish. But I don't really play a lot of the big GPP's. I like a couple cash contests with 1 lineup per week. And I'll do 10-20 lineups for smaller, 1-3 entry max contests. Doing that strategy I usually have a few $500-600 winning weeks and that's good enough to be profitable for the season. When i rollover winnings I like to dump most of it in BB, and some preseason props/totals etc.

I like Dell, but he's coming off an injury and Houston really stocked up at receiver this off-season with adding Diggs on top of Collins. Then you have guys like Robert Woods who is a bit long in the tooth....Metchie who basically used last year as rehab...Ben Swokrek made some plays for the Rams...and then there's the TE...Schultz who will see some targets.

So, I think Dell's celling is like 60 rec, 700 yards, 6 TD's.

I like Dell more than Diggs this year, especially for the draft price. Dell's injury was a broken leg, not an ACL though so for me I think he's going to be great. I'm not worried about Metchie or Woods. Dell is going to be on the field.

I have this one off to a nice start. Picking 9th I grabbed AJ, MHJ was auto drafted though I don’t mind it, followed up with Etienne in the 3rd and Hurts in the 4th to make the stack. I will try for Goedert later on.

I still had 6 live best ball slow drafts going. So yesterday morning they switched from 8 hours per pick to 1 hour. Cool that got them progressed pretty fast. But then it pauses overnight, you can still make a pick but whoever is on the clock gets 10 hours basically until 7am. Well this morning they all switched from 1 hour to 10 minutes per pick so I found myself suddenly scrabbling at times to keep up.. also made it so I couldn’t get much of anything else done. Now down to just 2 as the others have finished up but hopefully they wrap up here before our forum league draft

Luckily the last 2 wrapped up before tonight's draft. That makes a total of 20 BB leagues, again the great thing is once you draft that's it. A grand total of $169 in lineups, ranging from $3 - $20 each, all of which were paid for with winnings from (mostly) UFC betting. Not sure if I'll do any more, possibly one or two if they are still up over the weekend.
