Two big underdogs today in the Texans and Packers. I bet both to cover. The first game of the two is difficult to predict. Part of me thinks the Texans can hang with the Ravens. Especially if Stroud plays the way he did last week. Another part of me thinks the Ravens’ defense humbles them today. I would guess it all depends on the level of rust, if any, Baltimore comes out of the tunnel with.

The Texans/Ravens is the hardest game for me to get a gauge on, I can see any number of things happening without being overly surprised. I will have a couple different underdog parlays going just for the hell of it.

Mid-20s, a little windy, I don't see any reason why the Texans can't hang at least. The only caveat is if they turn the ball over twice in a row or something early on, they could spiral and go into 'happy to be there' mode. Packers covering is almost a given, because SF putting up 40 would be stunning.

It's the only game of the 3 I didn't bet in any way. No feel for it.

Could see the Ravens blowing them out. Could also see the Ravens coming out flat and choking. Stay away for me.

The Packers are a nice story, a fun team and all but the 49ers take care of them IMO. Hope to see a competitive game throughout.

I have switched my position on Bills/Chiefs, I think the Chiefs take this one. Bills are too beat up, Allen is a turnover machine, and the Chiefs D is really good. I am betting the Chiefs and I'll probably never root harder against my own bets.

Edit: shit wrong thread oh well

I'm actually stunned that line hasn't budged at all, opened at 2.5, still at 2.5. I wonder how much sharp money is coming in late, and how late.

The Packers have been playing some of the best all around team football in the league in the last 7 weeks or so. The key will be how healthy McCaffrey is. He tweaked his calf in Week 17, but was a full participant in practice this week. Their offense is talented without him, but his presence is what takes the governor off. Defenses can’t get a read on run/pass, pre-snap, with him. He allows a lot of the window dressing that is Shanahan’s offense to work.

She isn’t wrong. He ain’t it. You put 2020 Tom Brady or Mahomes on that team, and they are likely still in it. With the former, that team may have only had one loss going into the tournament.
With one of those guys that’s a 14/15 win team. I think they could win it with a guy like Stafford.

Who do I root for? I want the Texans in my heart but Ravens win makes it much more difficult for Chiefs if they advance. As much as it pains me I think I have to go with Ravens.

Am I alone in not really having the serious Chiefs hate? Their window's about closed anyway - Reid will retire, Kelce will retire, they'll bring in some bumblefuck to coach, set the team back 4 years, hire another coach, maybe he's better, maybe he's not, and then Mahomes will be nearing the end of his deal. They had a nice little run, respect. This isn't the Bills or Ravens, handed the title of the fucking kings of the league when they can't get out of the divisional round.

Yeah, I think you are alone.

I was like that for a couple years. But lately Mahomes whining and expecting every call to go his way has completely turned me off. He gets bumped during his slide and jumps up waving his hands in outrage for a flag. I just can't stomach it anymore. Plus fuck Mr. Pfizer.

Idk if you're alone but TB12 is my favorite athlete of all time and I'd be damned if Mahomes wins another SB this year and we get this glazing from the media that he's the GOAT. It took TB12 to win 5 so people could widely consider him the GOAT.

Idc I'm always gonna fight for his legacy

Mahomes is never going to win 6, let alone 7. I'm not scared of Kermit.
