You say there should be a lot of disagreement, but why? Any debate over positioning is really nit picking.

Love the shout out to Antowain Smith - while his numbers were somewhat pedestrian, there were a lot of late game runs that extended drives and ate clock. One of BB's better free agency moves.

I suspect devoted Patriot fans that most of us are would have our own personal favorites.

Maybe I just like to fight.

Oh - we gonna fight. I just need to read through it again - plus knock the dust off of the old file cabinet.

I called #21 in the GDT. Maybe about 10 minutes before it happened. You could see that the Chiefs were rotating their safeties toward wherever Gronk or Edelman were, and Dorsett had a deep opportunity one on one. A few plays later - touchdown.

4th Quarter with 2:19 to go, ball on their 44, 3rd and 1. Tedy Bruschi and Ty Law stuff Zack Crockett (at 6'2" and 240 pounds) for no gain, forcing a punt.

Had the Raiders made this first down there was a very good chance they would have driven into field goal range and pushing the lead to 16-10 with very little time on the clock.

We all know which game this was.

Should be on this list 100%

Will it be in the Top 10 though?

I have to wonder after you left Connelly out of the top 10.
That was a regular season game - isn't this a Playoff but Non-Superbowl Top List?

Although it is in my top 10, maybe 5, of any Patriot play ever.

As for Dan - the Pats were down 17-7 late in the 2nd when this happened. It changed the game, as the Pats held on to win by 4. It wasn't season changing - they still had the #1 seed even if they lost this game, and got beat by the damned Jets in the Divisional - but it was Game Changing.

Great effort play. And it was called wrong. There was no way I was putting a play in a playoff LOSS over any of the vital 25 plays that led to wins and titles.
I thought you were doing best plays, not best plays with conditions.

Read the disclaimer at the beginning of the blogs. "Top" doesn't mean best. The lists are the top plays according to me. Most memorable. Most impactful. Most favorite.

Think of the James White TD in OT vs Atlanta. Was that a great play? It's sure going to make my SB plays list even though it was a basic toss play.

The Brady to Moss incomplete pass in Superbowl 42 when there was under a minute left to play always sticks out to me. Brady threw that ball for like 60 yards or so and it just scraped the fingers of Moss. I followed Moss during the Patriots years he's my favorite Viking of all time.

Ya, I don't remember that game.

Let's keep it that way.
