Rank these QBs in order of who you’d rather have for your QB of present and future, based on everything you know so far.

CJ Stroud
Jordan Love
Justin Herbert
Trevor Lawrence
Jalen Hurts
Brock Purdy

1. Stroud
2. Herbert
3. Purdy
4. Hurts
5. Lawrence
6. Love
That’s similar to how I see it, though I would rank Love higher despite his bad postseason loss. He had played very well up until that game.

1. Stroud
2. Herbert
3. Purdy
4. Love
5. Hurts
6. Lawrence

How long of a leash does Lawrence get for his “learning curve”? These guys have all outperformed him despite not being vererans. Highest paid player in NFL?

I still don't trust Love. Mac had a good half year once too. But you may be right about him.

Lawrence has that "generational talent" draft hype still. He has some years of good will left from that alone.

I put Love above Purdy only because of the surrounding talent. Love had less to work with, yet had a very good season (lots of improvement).

1. Purdy - his stats are elite. He's been to two consecutive NFCC's and one Super Bowl. He overcame his offensive line trying their hardest to sabotage the Packers and Lions game. However, it finally reared it's ugly head in the Super Bowl where Chris Jones got in Purdy's face and prevented a TD pass. The 9ers Super Bowl window will shut if they can't get this fixed.
2. Love - I need to see more of him, but he looked great against Dallas and he made SF sweat.
3. CJ Stroud - took a bad team and went to the playoffs. Like Love, let's see how they respond with a tougher schedule and teams having film on them.
4. Hurts - his stock has dropped. I was never high on him. He's too gimmicky for me.
5. Herbert - It's going to be tough sledding for him ahead. He couldn't do shit with a better offensive cast and now it's terrible.
6. Lawrence - He's in the mold of Joe Flacco. His contract is bad for the NFL. There needs to be some checks and balances on allowing this kind of shit to continue. No All Pro's, pedestrian numbers, one playoff appearance and his backup has a better winning career percentage then him.

Hot take but Love is going to be better than all of them

Love
Stroud
Herbert
Lawrence
Purdy

Physically I think he, or maybe Herbert, has the most talent.

I loved Stroud’s play last year but will slow my roll. We’ve seen impressive rookies struggle to adjust as defenses adapt, so I’m not going to put him another tier just yet. I did rank him first though.

Nobody compares to Mahomes, but on this list alone I would take Herbert.

1. Lawrence
2. Herbert
3. Stroud
4. Love
5. Purdy
6. Hurts

I think Lawrence is going to have a bounce back season like he had in 2022. He wasn’t even terrible in 2023, either, but he had no time to throw so the downfield passing game evaporated and defenses just started playing them as if they were in the red zone.

I struggled with Herbert/Stroud. Herbert hasn’t won a playoff game and was behind one of the bigger choke jobs in NFL history. Stroud won a playoff game but he’s only been in the league one year.

I slotted Love over Purdy and Hurts because I don’t think the latter two are beating Dallas in the postseason with the roster Love had. I think Purdy and Hurts benefit greatly from absolutely stacked rosters. With Hurts, we saw last year that he’s pretty average with even a few key injuries.

Lawrence doesn't scare me one bit. I think he's overrated. Out of the whole list I feel that Stroud can be a problem, but that is only strictly because of all the weapons he has to work with.

They were a dropped pass away from putting a scare into the Chiefs when he actually had decent protection. I think he will be better this year. They needed route technicians to work in Pederson’s offense. Ridley is very talented, but he’s not a precise route runner, which led to a lot of turnovers. They’ve upgraded their OL and added Gabe Davis and BTJ (who I wanted the Pats to trade up for). Davis is a very good route runner and should help in the red zone.
