When did the WR stopping on routes, running the wrong routes, and dropping easy passes become the fault of the coaches?

Moss seemed to be kind of a rebel against authority, but I never heard a teammate say anything negative about him.
I think Moss is one of those kinds of guys who, when he quits, he’s done with that situation and nothing will change his mind. I went to the 2010 MNF game against Miami and watched him walk away from the anthem and his teammates in the pregame huddle. I knew something was wrong. I think he got traded right after that game.
