Their defense has gone from like 2nd to 25th. They’re winning but they’ve played the second easiest schedule and their net rating suggests they’re closer to average than contender.

Lillard is such an clown ass basketball player. All offense and high volume shooting. Horrendous on defense and doesn’t even try. Clearly he’s killing their chemistry as well. There’s a reason Portland was a bottom feeder for like 10 years with this “superstar” who jacks up a zillion shots a game.

Holiday is a better overall basketball player (at least was before he’s started showing his age this season.) Great defender, ball distributor, high efficiency shooter.

Coach is basically a scapegoat. They’re hoping they can find a zen-like approach like the 90s Bulls or 2000s Lakers. Maybe they can improve the chemistry but they can’t fix Lillard’s shit defense.
