MUST-READ 2025 NFL Draft Profile: LT Kelvin Banks, Jr.

Must Read
For how long? He's old and he's average on his best day.

You wouldn't take a 3rd or a 2nd next year to move to #6 and get the same OG pretending to be OT?
I agree with you there, Raiders can just sit there though unless there's buzz somebody else wants Sanders

And he's perceived as a low ceiling guy because of his arm and lack of athleticism. I don't care about the athleticism part, but the arm issue is something that will concern teams.

I agree, but apparently that's not a universal opinion. It's a little better than 50/50 he goes #3.

Umm.... That's exactly how it works. History has made that abundantly clear.

Trade ups happen all the time solely because a team is afraid another lower picking team wants the same player. All the time.

Patriots right now are +180 to draft Hunter. The odds anticipate Sanders going #3 to NYG.
To me at this point, this draft is easy.

Draft Hunter or Carter if they are there.

Consider any offer to trade down, if you are not blown away... Take the BPA on your board, or any of Campbell, Banks, Membou

That's my point. The Saints for one make sense. Haven't looked much more than that.

I hope he goes in the top 3. I hope Ward goes in the top 3. That's not the discussion here, though.

Yes, trade ups happen, sometimes. And a team can trade up to Jacksonville to jump the Raiders. They don't need to move up to #4.

You're taking a lot for granted here, but the basics are the basics:

  • Sanders not considered a top tier QB prospect, despite being considered one of the top 2 in this draft class
  • Trading up for lesser prospects is less likely than trading up for better prospects
  • Trading when dealing with lesser prospects often yields less value than when trading for more highly coveted prospects
  • The Jags follow the Patriots, and would still allow a leapfrog over the Raiders

So the question remains:

So what do you think can be gotten that's worth missing out on the player of the team's choice?

Of course it is. If Sanders is still projected up there, then your projection for him is not universal. Ward is guaranteed to go top 2.

That's true. However, LV can make a deal with Jax. Then NE can let LV know that NO is on the horn and they might want to get their thumb out of their asses. It works both ways.

And yet he is by some.
  • Trading up for lesser prospects is less likely than trading up for better prospects

True. But if there is only one QB left and two teams want him....

We've seen that disaster almost every year.
  • Trading when dealing with lesser prospects often yields less value than when trading for more highly coveted prospects

Agreed.

  • The Jags follow the Patriots, and would still allow a leapfrog over the Raiders

Already addressed that.
So the question remains:

I'd take a used jockstrap for compensation. We're getting the same player at #6 that we would at #4. Why wouldn't you take a 3rd round pick to move?

You seem to be missing the point. Being considered a top player at a position in a given draft does not mean that one is considered an elite prospect at the position. Sanders would have been lost in the QB shuffle last year, possibly going as late as QB7. This year, he's likely the #2 QB prospect. Big difference.

That's true. However, LV can make a deal with Jax. Then NE can let LV know that NO is on the horn and they might want to get their thumb out of their asses. It works both ways.

Sure.... "can". "Will" is a different word.

And yet he is by some.

I have literally not seen a single person who claimed that Sanders was an elite QB prospect.

We've seen that disaster almost every year.

But you're making assumptions. Again, "can" is not "will".

Already addressed that.

Yeah, but you answer sucked.

You're assuming you will get the same player at #6 as at #4. Again, you[re assuming.

Of course everything is could! Anything can happen. I don't think Sanders is elite talent. If he goes top 3, SOMEONE apparently does. If someone trades to top, someone apparently does.

If we can't get anything out of LV, then we make the pick. Shit happens.

If we can get ANY value to move down to #6, you do it. Jax is gonna take that one player we desperately want? 😂. The whole point is there is no single must have player at #4 if the two elite players are gone.

Abraham Lincoln was a great President.

If Jax takes an OT who many project as an OG? Oh well. We can always take the other OT who many project as an OG. Or the WR. Or whoever is BPA.

All I know is that one of Banks, Membou or Josh Simmons should be our NUMBER FUCKING 1 draft priority, over ANYBODY FUCKING ELSE.

But not until after at least one trade-down of significance.

I’d rather take Banks there and trade back into the bottom of the 1st round for Emeka Egbuka or Matthew Golden.

Trade back a little, STILL take Banks, use that extra capital to trade back up.
Maybe. You’d have to wait to see how the first 3 picks shake out, and if both Ward and Sanders are taken there.

I think I'd rather take a shot at Jayden Higgins or Tre Harris a bit later.
