I have a cat approximately 12 years old that I rescued. Her name is Girlie Girl (named after Al Bundy's group NO M'AAM's official beer). She can be kind of a bitch at times. She's unlike any cat I've had before. She hates getting picked up, she'll hiss, poop and piss. She's very picky too. I've tried to give her chicken, beef, cheese among other foods but she just turns her nose up at it. I've tried buying her all kinds of treats and she won't touch them. I've found a dry food she likes as well as a wet food finally. Despite her tendencies, she's a good cat. If I leave, when I come home she'll be sitting there waiting for me quite often. She lays beside me while I screw around on the computer and she'll rub up against me when she leaves or re-enters a room.

This is my boy River, he was a rescue I got around 5 years ago. He’s just over 6 years old now, and is a Rottweiler/hound mix. He’s 85 pounds so not a super big rottie but big enough to fuck up a bad guy. He’s a good dog though, very friendly.

That's a nice looking dog! I don't think you have to worry about your house being broken into. I'd love to have one but don't have the right place for one.
 
So, I've been having a problem with my cat. She gets up on my CPAP machine and shuts it off and I have an in room air conditioner/heater she jumps on and changes the settings. I was sleeping last night and woke up gasping for air. My cat shut my CPAP machine off again. All of a sudden I realized it was like jungle heat hit me. My cat had also jump on the AC and switched it to the heater.
That was enough for me to take action. I loosely taped aluminum foil over the tops of the CPAP machine and the AC. She jumped on the AC and jumped right back off. She was pissed and hissed at the aluminum foil.
I think I'll sleep uninterrupted and at the temperature I desire from now on.
 
After having her for 12 years, I think Girlie Girl and I have had a breakthrough. I was sitting at my desk searching the internet for stuff to buy when Girlie Girl rubbed up against me. That's pretty normal, I figured she just wanted some attention. I leaned over and pet her a few times and turned back to the computer. All of a sudden, she jumps up into my lap which she's never done before. I figured she was just curious about what was on my desk, but then she laid down and started purring when I pet her. That was the first time in 12 years that she really wanted to be held. It was a pretty cool feeling for me. I hope she does it more often.

Well, so much for that. I had Girlie Girl sitting on my lap this morning while I was getting ready to bid on an auction. I always wait until there's about 5 seconds left so if I outbid someone, they don't have the chance to bid again. So, I'm watching my screen as the auction winds down. Seconds left in the auction 10, 9 , 8 , 7 and once it hit 7 seconds Girlie Girl sprang up and knocked over a glass of iced tea that I had just poured. It went all over my desk, papers I had, the keyboard, the cat and me. During the ensuing confusion, I missed out bidding on the auction, so that cost me some money. I had to change clothes, wipe down my desk and keyboard. fortunately, the keyboard is still working.

I'm finding the older I get, the less I censor myself. It's actually pretty freeing. I'll say shit now, I never would have said before.

i have a buddy who is 76 who says he hopes people try to take his guns now because he'll take them out with him. he even has a dnr bracelet. he's always been pretty idgaf,but is getting moreso as he gets older.
