there was a couple ef1s near me. i think that means a tornado that touched down. i haven't googled it though. or should i say "duck duck go-ed"it.

I'm sorry to hear that. Food spoilage and fish tank crashes are among the first major "disasters" of a power outage. On the (potentially slightly) positive side:
Depending upon your insurance, you might be able to make a claim for the food.
Have you thought about going to a motel/hotel for a night or two?unfortunately not. once power comes on i will have to toss it all.

luckily it is temperate and i am able to shower at the y and have bottled water so i can brush my teeth and change the cats' water. so i don't have to worry.i did that when it was a bad winter storm. that was the worst outage as far as stress. it was like 55 in the house and the guy who came to plow broke down at the end of my driveway. still snowing like a bitch. had called my vet to try to get my cats there to board. was supposed to be there at 3:30. well the guy was still stuck in my drive and every plow truck in the galaxy was tied up. i called vet saying i'd be late. they said well we're closing early at 4. it was friday and they weren't open on weekends. somehow i did get them there,i forget the details.
I hope you get it turned back on soon. I'm sure you'll have a greater appreciation for the electricity that we all take for granted.
I had to Google Sheetz. I don't know if I've ever been in one, but I probably have at some point. It's great that they provide the conveniences that you need.
Are there a lot of homes out there without electricity or are you just the lucky one?

i was the last person i know of not to have it back. i just got it back 10 pm last night! and my studio is open wwwwwoooooohoooooo! i'm buying a mini trampoline. i can't take this 6 days with just a couple yoga classes and walks shit.

I blew my cat's mind today and it was pretty funny to watch. I get tons of boxes and packages delivered to me due to what I do. I always put the box on the floor so the cat can play around with it. She has this one favorite box though. After she plays with the other boxes, she always comes back to that one.
I bought her some bags that are catnip scented which she went nuts over too. Today I had the bright idea of putting her box into the bag. That drove her crazy when she saw it. She was hopping all around the bag, going in and out of it and meowing loudly. She seemed very happy as she finally settled in for a nap in the box and inside the bag.
