A special Sensi glad to be back contest

I was in Austin from 77-81. Used to love downtown and Zilker Park. Saw some great concerts down there!!

Nice! I started out in Roundrock when I got there, then went to SW Austin, and near campus for a couple years before moving back NE. I saw some great shows down there, Phish, DMB, Bela Fleck, Doyle Bramhall II, Galactic, MMW... I saw Bela Fleck and the Flecktones at Stubbs BBQ outside, one of the best shows I've ever seen. I used play in bands back then and played all over the place too. The last band Gnappy, was pretty big around there and we played some of the bigger spots too like Antone's, Stubbs and the like. Good times

I used to go to Mother Earths quite often. I saw Foghat a couple of times down there, Bowie in a small club, and Stevie Ray Vaughn a few times before he became famous. He was just plain fucking awesome!!!
