Tilly was born without a tongue and is normally bottle fed every meal.
Occasionally Tilly will want solid food and she tries to eat the other cat's food but the thing is, without a tongue, she can't get the food to the back of her mouth and if she doesn't keep her chin up, the food just falls out. So when she gets that "craving" I do spoon feed her some.
It is very messy. I keep the spoon in her mouth to make her keep her chin up so the food will go down her throat.
The metal spoon isn't hurting her or her teeth but she will chew the soft ones and damage those.
Yes, she does get dirty. Yes, we do give her baths.
No, I will not tolerate ugly comments so just keep them to yourself or leave the page.
