Ten prison guards in New York were charged Wednesday in connection with the fatal beating last month of a 22-year-old inmate, with two being charged with murder.

Prisoners who were interviewed said several guards severely beat fellow inmate Messiah Nantwi at the Mid-State Correctional Facility in upstate New York.

The March 1 beating sent Nantwi to a hospital where he died....

It's a positive sign. Hopefully the state won't cut them all sweetheart deals. We've seen that before.
