I'm not sure how they'd enforce it with all the different concession stands. Unless they gave out tickets for the stuff.

Tickets. Phone app tie in. Something like that. Either that, or maybe they'll limit per game food amounts available overall.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL—Shocking news out of Ferg’s Sports Bar this past weekend when a Florida Gators fan, there to watch the team compete in the NCAA basketball tournament, casually revealed in conversation that he actually attended the University of Florida.
"I've heard rumors, but I've never witnessed this firsthand," said Drew Forbes, a long-time St. Petersburg resident who had a first hand encounter with this creature of legend. According to Forbes, the man, wearing head to toe Gators merchandise, didn't just shout generic cheers or chant "Go Gators!" like a typical fan. Instead, he mentioned specific campus landmarks, referenced actual professors, and even recalled attending legitimate university classes in Gainesville, shocking Forbes into a brief, stunned silence.
"Usually, the Gators fans you run into are just overly enthusiastic locals from cities like Gainesville, Ocala, or Jacksonville," Forbes explained. "They've built their entire identity around the Gators, despite never having set foot in a UF classroom or even considering attending the university at any point. Just living vaguely within a few hundred miles of Gainesville is usually enough justification for them to willingly subject themselves to a lifetime of emotional turmoil based on how well the Gators sports teams perform. They even comment angrily on social media when they feel the Gators are being made fun of online. It’s fascinating."
But this fan broke all previously understood stereotypes. "He mentioned having a real, salaried job… and it wasn’t even based in Gainesville, the worst city in all of Florida by a wide margin." Forbes added incredulously.
"This implies he might've actually graduated and successfully leveraged his degree. Which is actually a highly regarded degree… Which is why I’ve never seen it before. Frankly, I always assumed that was a theoretical scenario dreamed up by the university’s marketing department."
Other bar regulars echoed Forbes’ amazement, with one patron speculating, "It could be that we’ve stumbled upon a statistical anomaly… Like getting struck by lightning twice. It’s also possible we were so inebriated we simply imagined the whole thing… It’s impossible to know for sure. I heard a similar legend once about a Miami Hurricanes fan who supposedly went to UM, but everyone knows that's absurd. Clearly mythical."
As of press time, reporters were still investigating whether the mysterious Gators fan genuinely earned a diploma from UF or if he had simply attended nearby Santa Fe College, absorbing enough of the authentic UF student experience by sheer proximity to convincingly pass as a genuine alumnus. Local skeptics remain skeptical and are demanding tangible proof, ideally a graduation photograph or, at minimum, monthly student loan payments.

Turns out Tennessee’s quarterback drama didn’t just start this spring. Nico Iamaleava, the redshirt sophomore once hailed as the face of the program, reportedly came close to bailing on the Vols before their biggest game of the season- the College Football Playoff showdown with Ohio State.

Josh Pate of CBS Sports peeled back the curtain on what went down in December. According to Pate, Iamaleava threatened to sit out the CFP unless Tennessee upped his NIL deal.

“This past December, cats like Nico Iamaleava almost held out of a playoff game because they were trying to renegotiate contracts in the middle of a playoff run,” Pate said. “He wasn’t the only one.”

Iamaleava ultimately suited up, but the situation left a cloud over the team’s playoff push.

Iamaleava played in the semifinal game, but his performance didn’t exactly silence critics. He completed just 14 of 31 passes for 104 yards in a rough 42-17 loss to Ohio State, who went on to win the national title. That outing, combined with the off-field drama, has taken a toll on his standing.

Fast forward to April, and Tennessee has now cut ties with Iamaleava after he reportedly skipped practice last Friday while trying to negotiate a better NIL package. The Vols had enough and made the call to move on, per multiple sources.

His value in the transfer market isn’t living up to expectations, either. Despite his five-star pedigree and playoff experience, top-tier programs aren’t biting. John Brice of Football Scoop reports that USC and Notre Dame have shown no interest. Texas Tech, a school known for flexing NIL money, also isn’t pursuing Iamaleava and plans to stick with Behren Morton under center.

While someone will likely take a shot on a quarterback with Iamaleava’s tools, it’s clear he overestimated his leverage. That misstep could cost him a prime landing spot and a chance to reestablish himself on the national stage.

Meanwhile, Tennessee looks ready to turn the page. Head coach Josh Heupel will move forward with freshmen Jake Merklinger and George MacIntyre, confident the next man up can lead the program without the baggage.

Like I said before: Fuck him. He tried to hold up his program, which would obviously include his teammates, over a deal that he'd only recently agreed upon (this wasn't a guy looking for a pay bump after 3 years of overplaying his deal), and I'd hope that every top level team would avoid that kind of problem player.
