I didn’t realize that Bosch had continued with a new series: Bosch Legacy, which is a continuation of the series with the same cast and characters.
I really can’t say enough good things about this series. It’s basically 100 episodes of great drama, always staying true to the realistic crime thriller, always paced perfectly, never desperate for thrills. I felt like I watched 100 episodes that are all ranked between 8.8 and 9.2. That’s how tight the writing is.
With the additional three seasons, I have to rank this show among the greatest ever made. No, it isn’t going to send you on an emotional thrill ride like Breaking Bad but it’s just really fucking good. No negatives. No bad seasons or even bad episodes. Every scene pushes the plot forward but always in a well constructed, straight forward manner.
This is a great post about why Bosch doesn’t get a ton of acclaim despite being well received.
