I’ve taken my kids to a ton of parks/playgrounds and you don’t see that thing anymore. That swing was SO FUN when you were a kid, but, if you fell off, it was a guaranteed visit to the doctor’s office. I remember seeing a kid fly off and his chin smack off the concrete part before his body rolled like a rag doll into the grass.

Fun was more than absolute safety back then.
