and to think,i use self checkout just so i won't have to justify how i want my stuff bagged. i used to work in a grocery store when i was at college so i am picky. self check were platinum for me.even putting items on the rolling mat in the order i wanted them in the bags seldom helped. no longer do my grapes get put under a bottle of detergent. or my paper packaged room temp items have the ice cream on top. and i double bag like a mofo.
we have one local county that FORBIDS plastic bags (the county that houses the shittiest most corrupt city in northeast ohio) and the paper bag using stores are the worst because they ALSO don't have self-check.
