This reminds me of a trick I use when I have the first fight with a new girlfriend. After the fight and making up, I'd tell her to yell and scream at me as much as she wanted to when we're fighting. Then I'd add, but don't ever give me the silent treatment, I absolutely hate that!! It really pisses me off. The next fight we had, they'd give me the silent treatment thinking it was pissing me off. But in reality, that's exactly what I wanted. It saved many an hour of listening to ear piercing screeches.

Silence is golden.
