NFL General News

They made the right move not paying him. He was a product of their O-line that was clearing D-line's out. Remember the 2015 season opener where D'Angelo Williams was just trotting all over the field? Bell's "patient" running style was praised by the media, but exposed with just a mediocre OL with the Jets where quick decisions must now be made. Bill's game plan in 2016 playoffs was telling the D to stay put and he'll just run into them. I never liked his running style.

He probably will be the highest paid non QB, but I'd take DeMarcus Ware over him all day. Parsons seems very gimmicky.

7 slots:

1 slot goes to each of the other three division winners, leaving 4 slots:

Still should be well behind the Cowboys and Eagles, leaving 2 slots:

No reason to think that either Green Bay or Detroit collapses (Beyond "sure, could happen"), leaving 1 slot:

So the Giants would/will be looking to beat out the likes of the

Rams (10 wins last year, even if they step back a bit)
Bears (Major offensive upgrades to a 7 win team, QB likely to be the issue)
Vikings (A lot depending on the rookie QB)
Falcons (Addition of a legitimate, capable QB should be a big boost to a 7 win team)
Seahawks (9 wins last year, should/could still at least be in the mix)

as I don't think any teams outside of Washington and Carolina should be ruled out in this conference.

I don't like the chances for the Giants.
