NFL GameDay Official Week 9 GDT

GameDay Discussion
I am never ever betting anything FOR NOR AGAINST THE JETE.

Fuck em’

Fraudgers won.
Anytime Fraudgers wins I lose a minute of my lifespan

Don't take it too hard:

  • Thursday night game (short week)
  • Desperate home team
  • Banged up road team missing multiple defenders

Last night's game absolutely sucked! Growing up 20+ years ago in my teens and 20's, I'd be psyched for prime time matchups. Now it's just background noise.

The NFL is oversaturated with so many networks wanting a piece. You know the product sucks when a Super Bowl rematch is an afternoon game.

Overseas games every week, Monday night double headers, changing the rules to favor imbalanced offenses - even though there i snot enough talent to support that for every team - the product is weaker ever year.

Take the Patriots out of the mix for that 20 year stretch and you get an NFL that was amazing. Upsets, multiple top tier QB's across both conferences, top flight defenses and running backs. Even poor teams had players that just balled out.

It's like the NFL said "New England is finally done, can't let that happen again without our say so"

The 90's was badass. The 2000's were still good even after the rule changes. The mid 2010's is where I think the product started to go downhill.

I get it that people want to see Rodgers fail, but he made the NFL better when he was at his best physically. The NFL is flooded with mediocre QB play disguised by the rule changes. I don't think the majority of these QB's would've survived in the pre rule change NFL. Ditto with the WR's.

The other reason why you know the NFL stinks is when the 2nd most talked about storyline is Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. That is really bad. Where are the rivalries? The 90's had heated rivalries in every division. They have been gone for years.

Lastly, the player turnover is getting out of control. It's becoming like baseball where you have tons of no name players on the team each year.

If I was at a poker table and had to bet on whether or not Travis Hunter has Neanderthal DNA in him, I would go all in on “yes.” Bro is a Hunter-Gatherer. They recently discovered fire in his village.

My upset of the week is Tampa Bay over Kansas City. I know the Bucs are banged up, but they're going to be in must win mode after starting the season promising. At this point of the season the Chiefs offense is what it is a team that'll score just enough as long as the defense shuts the other team out. That's dangerous and recipe for disaster in my opinion.

I hope you’re right but I see Tampa and Mayfield turning the ball over at least twice to that D. Mahomes should also carve up that defense with Hopkins in his second week absorbing the playbook.

If yall niggas don’t mind, I’m going to talk some college football shit in here today. This place gets more action that the college thread.

How in the FUCK is Ohio State ranked in the top 5? They don’t play anybody, they have one loss, and they barely survived against an unranked Nebraska team last week. I’m continually baffled at how much they get glazed by the committee. Now, if they win today? Sure. They deserve to be there. But past results would indicate a ranking outside of the top 5.

Poor Duke is about to get boat raced by Miami, who is playing in front of a massive home crowd of about 100 people. Duke made the mistake of recruiting some hard-working, blue collar, bring-your-lunch box-to-work Aryans whilst Miami recruits out of dirt poor areas where the kids chase rabbits for farmers to catch them and kill them in their fields.

This contest was over before it even began.

Name. They get in on their name.

Penn State last year: “We can’t seem to complete many passes to our TEs and WRs. Maybe we should upgrade those positions in 2024.”
