Back in the 80's one of my uncles built a place up in Main (I think it was west of Augusta). Nice plot of land, nice little house. He went up in the winter to check it out and saw a large (bigger than a basketball) hornet's nest. So, he gently removes it and the thing is so perfect he decided to keep it.

Hanging in the house.

Where it was warm.

The exterminator costs, plus the cleanup from the chemicals was pretty pricey.
