People are Stupid

Maybe this isn't people are stupid issue. this is a people are incredibly narcissistic and self- centered issue. why do people feel the need to bring their dogs every where they go? I'm not talking about service animals real true service animals. I don't think anyone objects to that.I am talking about people who just literally cannot spend 1 minute away from their dog and feels that no one else should spend 1 minute away from their dog either. my friend is currently at a hockey game where there are a bunch of people with their dogs. this morning she went to a meeting in one of our public libraries in a tiny room and she said atonna people had their dogs and Arrows well I'll tell you what if I went to a meeting in the library and there was a bunch of dogs in the meeting I would be bitching up a storm. People bring them into all kinds of stores like home depot and then into restaurants and everything else. it's incredibly ridiculous.

Because we really like our dogs, and we can.

Do you feel there should be no limits on where you should bring your dog?

No. Private places should be free to decide whether or not they are accepted in their establishments. And, theoretically, they aren't allowed where food is (i.e. grocery stores, restaurants, unless they fit into one of the exceptions (I don't necessarily agree with this one, but I at least understand the logic. After all, pets might behave as badly as bloggers pissing on all the food for clicks).

theoretically is right! have seen many pet dogs in restaurants. I think business owners just don't want to piss these people off. And yes I agree private businesses should be allowed to do anything within the law in their place of business. I quit smoking years ago but I was disgusted with my state when they outlawed smoking in private businesses. I don't think that's their place to do that. There's actually a store I will not go in ever again because the owner brings their dog in and lets it run around loose . no warning on the door or anything. People who don't understand that their animals are still animals and they could do something to somebody who's a stranger or even somebody who's not a stranger are just playing too fast and loose for my taste. I don't have a problem with business owners who bring their dogs in and have them in a room with a gate on it. I've dealt with that before. those dogs can't approach people. I think it's silly but it doesn't affect anybody really.
To me, the library is not a true private place since I pay for it with my taxes.
