One of the earlier examples of PC intrusion in the Air Force was when we were banned from using "Flip Charts" - the old school way of doing presentations - multiple "charts" on an easel where you would (flip" from one to the next, as Flip was derogatory for Filipino.

They also forced a pronunciation change of WAPS (Weighted Airman Promotion System) from more like WOPS to a whiny WahPS ... WOP being "With Out Papers" used to describe immigrant Italians.
