12 team keeper league. You keep a player for +2 the previous season's draft/keeper pick.
You can only keep:
QB, RB, WR, TE, K, DEF, FLEX1, and FLEX2.
We start 10: QB, RB, WR, WR2, TE, W/T, W/R/T, W/R/T2, K, DEF with 11 on the bench.
My team was picking 1.04 after a bad season.
Traded:
Jordan Love, QB, GBP and pick #14.02 (he was drafted in the 16th last year)
Christian Kirk, WR, JAX and pick #11.11 (he was kept in the 13th last year)
For:
Travis Kelce, TE, KC (he will cost my 1.04 to keep)
Justin Herbert, QB, LAC and pick #8.07 (he was kept for a 10th last year)
Pick #12.08
The other team had to make a decision between Tyreek Hill or Travis Kelce for their first round pick (they had two ones last year). The top available players in the draft would have been: J'Marr Chase (or Justin Jefferson...the owner needs to pick one), CeeDee Lamb, Travis Kelce, and Drake London. I decided that I wanted to grab a TE with my 4th pick because the WR depth in this upcoming draft is unreal. I also needed a 12th to keep Devin Singletary (drafted in the 14th last year).
I am now going into the draft with:
1st Travis Kelce
Two second rounders
Four third rounders
Two fourth rounders
5th Rham Stevenson
6th rounder
7th Sam La Porta
8th Justin Herbert
9th Patriots D
12th Devin Singletary
15th Puka Nacua
Three 18th rounders
19th Jake Moody
21st
Gonna be able to load up on the best available RB early in the 2nd (Believe Derrick Henry will be available...maybe Josh Jacobs...or maybe even Cooper Kupp if I wanna go WR instead)...then take the best avail QB at the end of the 2nd (Likely to be Mahomes or Burrow).... Then just use the 3rd/4th to load up on best avail WR's. Pick BPA in the 6th....sit out....and draft 3 lottery tickets in the 18th.....and one more in the 21st.
Giving up Jordan Love (14th) was pricey.....especially when I am only getting an injured Herbet back sans Mike Williams/Keenan Allen....a part of me feels that Love's ascension in the 2nd half of last year could be a bit of a fluke.....I'd rather an experienced Herbert in a run friendly offense as a BYE week fill in/back up anyway...and getting Kelce in hand gives me two of the best TE's in the game without me needing to chase Kyle Pitts or George Kittle in round 2 (both will be avail). We can start a TE in 4 slots....and I can always trade Kelce for a RB/WR later.
Thoughts?
