Patriots news

Carlton was pretty good in Tampa but the Bucs preferred Dean over him he was CB1 in the Brady/Tampa years. Injured with the Lions last season but had a good year before that
He's good

Carlton was the CB! in Tampa. His problem is that he misses games. He's never played a full season.

Him , Gonzo and Marcus and suddenly we have a good trio potentially great depending on play

Now they need a free safety, and Holland's still availale

He'll never see the end of that 3rd year here.

When we see the full terms of the deal, it's probably going to really be just for 2 years, or 2 years with an easy out.

Whatever energy they expended signing Davis & Spillane should've been used toward signing Holland.

They've got money to spend, and the defense, despite the claims of some, was bad last year (and overrated for a couple of years before that, too). So signing Davis and Spillane doesn't worry me. They should both be upgrades at their positions.

Signing Holland ahead of these two should've been a no-brainer; now it's not going to happen At All because Loyalty.

The man is still on the market, and the team still has the money, so I'm not sure where you're getting this notion. Frankly, I'm starting to wonder if there's an issue with him.

Milton Williams to the Patriots
Boom thats what im talking about. D IS Looking good. Not draft on offense, but they must nail it this year

Man, that was exactly what this defense needed.

They still need to finish the job in terms of starters, and they'll need more pieces for depth, but it's nice to see that they acknowledged that the defense wasn't good.

Looks like Kraft gave him about $6M more than what his reported market was. $26M for a guy who averaged about two dozen snaps/game is risky, but we need the push out of the 3-technique. I would hope he’s going to get more snaps because he’s no longer competing with Carter.
