Polishing this up now. Update with the article coming soon, @everyone. I did this a bit differently since it’s an offensive lineman I was reviewing and reading out. I also had A.I. run me a meta analysis for a projection. I slightly disagree with it.

He may be a great LT, but I will still be pissed if we take him at #4.

Why? Protection for the franchise’s blind side for the next 8-10 years is critical.

1. I want an elite talent at #4 not a "some project at Guard" OT. If two QB's go in the top 3, that will happen.

2. If it doesn't happen, someone will want the 2nd QB at #4. I want draft capital.

3. Take the OT a little lower.

Who's going to be wanting to jump up in a trade, and willing to give up enough to make it worth it?

I'm not convinced Sanders is worth trading up for, but if Vegas, Jest, Saints want in.. then it would seem like Jax is the team that would have the leverage. The other scenario is Hunter or Carter fall to us.. but then why would we trade out from there rather than take the player?

We are not trading if Hunter or Carter are there.

The Raiders are the team looking for their QB of the future. The Jets seemed to have gone in hard with Fields, LOL. Saints are the other team I could see.

If that’s the case, take Hunter and hope for the best at LT. Vrabel seems to be an inside-out type of coach, though, which would suggest going with the long term solution at LT whose floor is a top-5 guard in the league.

Raiders at #6

Given this draft, and the fact that the Raiders just traded for Geno, what do you think they're going to pony up for a two spot move that might well not be needed?

Geno is like 50 years old. He's not the future. He's a bridge.

Everyone knows that neither the Patriots nor the Jaguars are going QB. Sanders is not considered a high end QB prospect. So what do you think can be gotten that's worth missing out on the player of the team's choice?

I think if Ward is there, Brady would roll the dice. Ward is a dawg. If he even had a bad defense at Miami, they likely could Jane advanced to the title game. They’d still have gotten clapped by Ohio State, but the outcome would have been better overall.

I actually really like one of their receivers later in the draft - Xavier Restrepo. Reminds me a bit of Welker.

Ward will not be there. He is going #1 or #2. Probably #2.

Sanders isn't a high end prospect? According to some maybe. He's still projected in the betting odds as more likely to go top 3 than not.

That's not how it works. There needs to be another team looking to move up too. All it takes is the Saints calling...or the Raiders thinking the Saints are calling.

That's why I posed the question, it'd be dumb to move out of #4 unless a team was offering a 2021 QB-like haul. Raiders are going to extend Geno.

For how long? He's old and he's average on his best day.

You wouldn't take a 3rd or a 2nd next year to move to #6 and get the same OG pretending to be OT?

And he's perceived as a low ceiling guy because of his arm and lack of athleticism. I don't care about the athleticism part, but the arm issue is something that will concern teams.

Umm.... That's exactly how it works. History has made that abundantly clear.
