I have heard various "experts" claim that AT WORST, Campbell would be a Pro Bowl (if not All Pro) Guard.
Is that worth it? It's fought to say no, IF that is true.

Will Campbell over Abdul Carter and Travis Hunter, even if one of them is available at #4.
The problem with almost every single anti-Campbell person is that they jump on a high horse to insist that Campbell's not worth the #4 pick, while conveniently ignoring the reality that that this draft literally only has two players worth drafting at #4 or above (Hunter and Carter). They then compound that problem by ignoring the other reality, which is that it has, to date, been impossible for the top teams to find trading partners for a drop down.

The problem in this draft isn't the willingness to trade down, it's finding a team willing to move up in a sub-par overall draft, talent-wise. The smart move would be to accept next years picks and take the longer road to adding talent, but teams do not want to do that, and most of them can't because of the volatility of coaching jobs.
I wouldn't rule them taking Jeanty completely out, a lot of draft folks believe he's a blue chip player. Value-wise it's obviously not smartest use of a top 5 pick but there's no question he's an explosive and productive player. He'd be exciting for sure. That said I highly doubt it given the other needs of this team.
What we need is for another team to think Jeanty is blue chip enough to trade up for him.
I would drop down to the teens for a 2nd and a high pick next year. Get the same type of player at 15 than we would at 4.
There are 3 top OT prospects. All will be gone by 15, according to current reporting.
Many have banks as a guard, and I know many also feel that way about the other two as well. The second tier of guys is pretty talented as well, and if we were to make a different move/trade at #4 I would be fine with them at 38. Those being Simmons, Conerly, Ersery.
15 might be a little too far for me, but yeah. Good news is the wait is almost over!!

And yet nobody serious* is projecting them as busts. They are super prospects that played at the highest level in the toughest divisions. Maybe they are very slight downgrades compared to the top guys of the last 2 or so drafts, but they were still the best players in college last year. And again al tested extremely well.
It's the end of silly season, I get it. We want an impact player at #4.. An all pro/pro bowl OG may not be the best use of a #4 pick but it definitely ain't the worst either.

Not busts. But you need to anticipate you are drafting your LG or RT in the case of the black guy. Forget his name. The top 3 OL prospects appear to be safe bets to be good players SOMEWHERE on the OL.
Do you take an impact player at a position of lesser need, or roll the dice on LT and be content if it ends up being LG?
Not a rhetorical question. That is what they must decide. I suspect they would love a trade down to fall in their laps. But if it doesn't, it looks like they'll roll the dice on LT, knowing it will fill one of the five OL slots at worst.
