In memory of Hallie Kyed ....

Well, it was a good show.

Thanks to everyone for not donating or participating. Eat a sweaty, zit infested asshole. Douche bags.

Sensei, you and I will be rewarded for our good deed.
I got two young kids. The shit can and will hit the fan at any moment. Is the link still up?

Gonna unpin this. I’d like to thank Fitzy for being a fuckin’ retard and not including a donation link for those of us who couldn’t watch. I’ll update it if I find one. Her GFM, which we also donated to, appears to be open still.

I will speak for Sensei on this matter. Here is what I noticed @everyone

Sensei let us know about the fundraiser coinciding with a podcast about the Patriots. It sounded like a great opportunity for forum participation. He offered signed Patriots prizes. I joined in and offered big Dinglebucks awards for donating. This wasn't donating for the Girl Scouts. It was childhood cancer.

Sensei also opened up and shared how this cause was personal to him. Like Doug Kyed, he also lost a child a long time ago. It obviously wasn't something that was easy to talk about. But he shared. That was something I had never heard from him before, and my heart broke reading it. I thank God I have never gone through something like that.

We thought this thread was going to be a fun little thing here. Maybe donate, try to advertise the forum a bit, make fun of stupid comments on the podcast, whatever. Our expectations were high. Arguably unreasonable? Perhaps. Well, the thread ended up being quieter than an underwater pussy fart. Sensei donated, I made my $50 donation in the name of TheNFLForum.com, then crickets. Nothing. Not a creature could be found, not even a crab.

That's what happened. Is Sensei justified to be disappointed? That's for you to decide. Is Sensei justified to say fuck it and stop doing contests? Judge for yourself.

As the only other person to give to this worthy cause, I am in a strange predicament here. I don't want to say I'm better than the rest of you. But obviously I am. I just don't want to say it. So I won't.

If you think Sensei's reaction is overboard, that is you prerogative. Give him time. None of us are perfect.

You guys are just less so. I say that with love and humility.

I don't blame him for being disappointed but it also sounds like not enough information was given by the people who were doing the donation request either. If her go fund me is still active maybe I'll donate through that instead of just to that foundation.

I smoked a little weed and chilled out. Had a hectic morning between church early and a late night last night. I’m not pissed that he’s leaving. He’s free to come and go as he pleases. Obviously, I’d rather he stick around. Especially in the offseason. He’s a hell of a poster and a good guy. What pissed me off was hearing that he was upset when he could have come to me about it. My kids are 2 and 4. There is virtually no autonomy in my days anymore, and I may not always have time to sit down and watch something. Guts is in a similar situation. Deus and jlaff are lawyers who, I’d imagine, work insane hours most of the time.

Seek first to understand before being understood, Sensei.

I thought about it but the last donation was 9 months ago and I already don’t like giving money to GFM anyway (due to the Canadian trucker protests). I don’t even know if they would receive that money.

It would have been nice if Fitzy had left a link. Absolutely no clue why he didn’t. Brain dead move.

Just a general comment. I don’t like group participation stuff. It isn’t personal. It isn’t like I go to other forums and do their betting and contests and donations and these types of things. It’s just against my nature to do these group participation activities. So, don’t take offense. After all, this is an online forum which is generally filled with anti-social loners, etc. It was nice of you to donate to the cause, and I appreciate all you do for the betting activity, organization, etc. Again, don’t take it personally that I generally ignore all of these things. Many people like them, so just focus on the people that like this stuff and opt-in.

No worries at all. I already said the rest of you were terrible people. It's over and forgotten.

I just donated $25 @LordSensei1958. Not quite St. Dingleberry, but maybe some day.

You guys are trying to destroy the economy I live in don't forget.
Blame Trudeau. China is also pushing your shit in with tariffs. We trade Alberta for Washington state, and we will even throw in Portland to sweeten the pot.

Even if I used credit cards, and made millions of donations online, there is no fucking way I would send even a nickel through GFM.

I hear ya. I did it when she was first diagnosed since there was no other avenue, and knew how important it was to @LordSensei1958. That was a one-off.

I didn't watch the show because I can't stand like half the people who were appearing, Callahan, Fitzy. Barwell, etc can all go suck a bag of dicks. there is so much content out there to consume, I pick and choose what I feel is worth my time. I understand this was all for a good cause, I'm all for it.. hope they raised a ton of money. There are a million things we can all donate our time and/or money to, and when I have the means I do so, I donate. This isn't one of those times for me so unfortunately.

You disgust me.
