Strange will have every opportunity to do it, but he will likely fuck it up.I agree with some, but not others.
Offense:
G: Cole Strange will have every opportunity to regain his starting job at G.
WR: Mac Hollins has no business starting outside. We really need to see Polk, Baker or Williams emerge.
Defense: I don't agree with the alignment. I think we'll see more of a base of 4 down line, 2 LB's, 2 CB's and 3 safeties. I do agree that Ellis will start and kick Tavai's playing time down tremendously.
DE: White/Chiasson
DT: Barmore
DT: Williams
EDGE/OLB: Landry
LB: Spillane
LB: Ellis
CB: Gonzalez
CB: Davis
FS: Hawkins/Epps or Woodson
SS: Peppers
Box S/LB: Dugger
If that's true, then the failure to move up into the first becomes even more problematic.
Henderson will make a far bigger impact in this league than the bust that Miami drafted.According to reports I have heard, there was DEBATE in the room about possibly taking him by SOME in the room. The RB they took was preferred by most.

For me, it's not about the specific player. I was hoping for a trade up to get Simmons, not this guy. But the underlying "issue" is the same, which is that if they blew their call because they didn't trade up, that's a problem.
The team had the ability to walk away from the first 3 rounds with OT/OT/C (and maybe another player, depending upon the cost of the move up), so that's where people should start focusing next season, when it comes to evaluating this draft. Was going OT/RB/WR/C the better play, is really the first big question to be asked about the new/"No, Really, it's still Elliot!" front office.
Simmons had questions at both injury and attitude/effort. There are no reports of them trying to move up at this point so there is no failure. They played the board the way it fell and it’s pretty clear from the rest of the draft that they wanted to add capitol, not trade it away. They added a c/g with flexibility and still have like 5 holdovers that will compete at LG. They have to feel they’ll get a reasonable starter out of that groupFor me, it's not about the specific player. I was hoping for a trade up to get Simmons, not this guy. This, and it also appears Eliot was in over his head running the entire draft on his own.2. I am going to give Elliot Wolf a pass for last season. I heard two insiders today (on different shows) say that they have sources who confirm that Wolf was holding Mayo's hand on just about everything last season. Even daily practice schedules. He was performing double duty as the HC advisor/assistant.
Maybe it's a crock and Wolf releasing these reports. But it rings true. Mayo seemed clueless. Last year was a disaster. Blame Kraft for his idiotic Mayo succession plan.

That's my point. Black Mayo needed his dick held all season. Wolf was the dick holder.
