I don't expect my GSW to do much this season or even get into the playoffs, but if they do there's a slim chance.
Giannis went down with a non-contact injury in the calf area during tonight's game. I hope he's alright but, unfortunately, that often ends up being an Achilles tear, and he'd already been dealing with Achilles tendonitis, so that would seem be make some kind of a tear even more likely.
Edit: It seems to be good news for Giannis. An MRI revealed nothing more than a calf strain.

Nice money, if you can get it. When I heard about this earlier, I was happy with it while being worried about his play declining in the last two years of the deal. It also left me with two questions:
- Can they still extend White?
- How do they find the money for another big, given Horford's age and the likelihood of his decline moving forward?

There’s no actual cap. It’s how much luxury tax the owner is willing to pay.
1. White is their best player. Esoecially with Holiday’s age it would be crazy to choose Holiday over White.
2. I think they’ll just need to roll with KP and a journeyman backup center.
Keep in mind all of the advanced stats suggest Jaylen Brown does not help the team, they’re 11-0 without Jaylen Brown with a much larger margin of victory, their net rating improves without him, and the Celtics brass highly values these things. They couldn’t trade him last year due to the cap and were forced to give him a max contract since he was voted All NBA (undeservedly.) Trading him frees up a ton of money as and could also gain them a lot of picks or that second big.
