2025 Draft thread

I'd rather take him at #4 than Stubby Campbell. A RB that early sickens me, but at least he's an unquestioned elite talent.

I don't have a specific aversion to taking a RB at the top of the draft, but this is not the draft for it (a lot of quality RB prospects this year), and this guy's not Saquon.

Fair.

Campbell isn't even Matt Light.

I love Matt Light. But let's not get silly here. As a prospect, Campbell would be ahead of Light, which is why Light was the 5th tackle taken in his draft, and taken in the second round.

Campbell will never be Matt Light as a Tackle.

He MAY be Joe Thuney as a Guard.

Your speculation is your own. It's irrelevant to the issue of comparing these players as prospects. Campbell is a "better" prospect than Light was, which is part of the reason some are projecting him to go as high as #4. Jeanty is not a "better" prospect than Barkley, or even on his level.

My speculation is the law!

Half the league don't think Campbell can play Tackle in the NFL. Jeanty is closer to Saquon at RB than Campbell is to any elite OT.

You do love to move the goalposts.

Matt Light was not an elite prospect at OT. That's why he fell to the second round.

And "Jeanty is closer to Barkley" isn't remotely accurate.

Your entire argument is based upon, at most, a half inch of arm length, and arguably the greatest OL coach in history has publicly poo-poo'd that as an issue.

I do not want to take a maybe Tackle probably Guard at #4 when he is not even the consensus best offensive lineman in the draft. I want the best talent available.

But we'll reach for this if the Giants don't go QB.

The "maybe tackle..." stuff is based exclusively on a 1/2" arm measurement. Nothing else. I'm not sold on the guy for other reasons, but the arm length argument for why he'd be a reach is silly.

"OMG! His arms, that are almost 3 feet long, are a 1/2" too shortl!"

1/2 an inch can be the difference between a woman screaming in ecstasy and whatever reaction you small cock people get.
