2025 Draft thread

Tet McMillan's NFL comp is Tee Higgins... Like Will Campbell, many "experts" feel #4 is too high for either player.. I'm not so sure. What is the expectation for a top 5 pick? I would say it's at the least, a difference maker with a high chance of a second contract. So if Will ends up a top 10-ish LT, if Tet is a 80+ catch, 1100 yard, 8 TD guy... I'm fine with either at #4.

Specifically with Will, if he's a very good LT and solidifies that position for like 8+ years it's a great pick.

These people need to justify their salaries. So they're not going to say "anyone who's a quality 10 year starter is a good pick, even in the top 10", because that won't drive ratings/clicks/views. But that's the reality of the draft. Of course you want to draft a generational player, but the odds are always against that, even in years where the draft is supposed to be stacked, and those "experts" know that.

And this year is considered to be a very down year at the top, so "it's too high for that player" at the very top of the draft is even less meaningful this season than most.

i really want Carter at #4 but may not happen

Travis Hunter actually scares me a bit because everyone has him projected as a CB that would dabble at WR... but we need a true stud WR1

if Campbell solidified the LT role for the next 10 years, it would be a great pick at #4 even if we "reached" for him.. Matt Light was drafted in 2nd round, but if we had to redo that draft i would take him at #4 if we had a huge need at LT

we just cannot afford to miss with our 1st and 2nd rounders

Carter or Hunter at #4. If both gone, trade down for a team who wants Sanders at QB.

Anything other than this will mat my ass hair and cause me to have an epic tantrum.

I am greedy so I'm on team trade-down if it net's us the right player and picks.. But our greatest need IMO is Left Tackle, and if that spot is solidified for years to come that really free's up resources to fill all the other holes, WR, EDGE, FS, CB, OG, LB etc.

All of you with Carter as your target need to ask yourself where he's going to play in the Vrabel defense.
My limited understanding of Vrabel's D is that he would play DE. Carter is supposedly a capable run stopper in addition to being a very good pass rusher. I know the local pundits are assuming we'll run the same one-gap, even front, more zone heavy defense, but I'm not so sure. Mainly because I don't know that we have the personnel to run it, and I think they are underestimating the influence that DC Williams might have.

From what I've read:

We don't have his combine weight, yet, but current weight listings have him under 260 pounds.
