2025 Draft thread

Nothing against the player. He'd have been my #2 overall RB, and I think McDaniels just got his next James White. I just wanted a different position there.

I don't disagree, BUT the best 3rd down back? This offense has needed that badly for a while. Are any of these WR's really better than what we already have?

I'd like to trade up for one of the Edge players now.

Now Shough to the Saints .... Another QB not named Shedeur

He is absolutely an immediate need. We haven't had a 3rd down RB for a few years. That was always a huge part of the offense.

especially a josh mcdaniels offense

it was a need for sure, just not one of the higher priority ones... but he's a legit talent and will really help this offense and drake maye

offensive line in theory could be significantly improved from last or 2nd to last in 2024. Granted that isnt a very high bar, and I'd have a bit more confidence if not for the retirement of David Andrews, but they've made moves to improve the offensive line, added veteran WRs on the outside, kept their TEs, and now adding another very talented RB into the mix

this offense could significantly improve

Again, I have nothing against the player, and he should be a great fit for the McDaniels system. I'd just have looked at WR first, because there are so many RB options in this draft.

im in the same place, im not upset by it at all and you can obviously see the positives he would bring.. i had him as a possibility with that pick, but thought they might go in some other directions

at the end of the day, as long as we have some nice, young, TALENTED players then we're better than we were the last 2 years

I feel more confident about Henderson than I did about Vereen... and Vereen turned into a great 3rd down back

it did take him until year 3 i think to really get off, but i think Henderson is a tier or 2 above Vereen in terms of talent (or potential)

Best 3RB. No question. Major hole on the team. "Special" and potential OROY according to Nick Saban.

7th to 10th best WR's who are likely not an upgrade to what you already have.

I don't think they felt any of these WR's were much better than what they have.

Noel, as a prospect, would be a significant upgrade over Douglas.

It's a close call for me but I like it. The RB talent drop off was basically right there with Henderson, with WR I think it already happened after Egbuka. I think we can still add a WR comparable or better than Burden, or Golden who i view as very risky players.
