A leaked call between Jerry Jones and Deion Sanders last night is making the rounds. Here's the full transcript:
Deion Sanders: "Hey Jerry, it’s your boy Deion."
Jerry Jones: "..."
Deion: "Deion Sanders, Jerry. From the Cowboys. Remember, Super Bowls, Primetime?"
Jerry: "I’m sorry… I… I can't quite understand you. Can you send me a facsimile outlining your demands? I'll have my secretary review it."
Deion: "Jerry, come on man, it’s me... Prime! Neon Deion!"
Jerry: "Neon prime? Listen, I haven’t used that service in years. Whatever her name was, just include her address in the fax and I'll have Barbara send something nice. If there’s a little Jerry Jr. out there, he'll receive our standard complimentary Cowboys gift basket."
Deion: "Jerry, quit messing around, I need you to help Shedeur out on Saturday."
Jerry: "Thor, Shedeur, Shakure, whatever the kid's name is... I’ll include it in the gift basket. Hell, I’ll even toss in an autographed Andy Dalton jersey if you promise not to mention any of this to him or the press. We clear?"

10/10 draft for the Pats

The instant draft “grades” are so stupid. Every team believes they picked the best possible player for them on every pick. And they’re well aware of the amateur grades out there.

The only time a team really gets an F is on a pick is a guy like Jordan Richards because he probably would have been available 3 rounds later.

Well, the grades are always based upon the writer thinking "I would have taken" as the A+ choice, so the grades are inherently silly in that sense.

So, do the Browns get an F for taking Shedeur at 5-144, in addition to trading up for him?

If someone could give me a breakdown of who we've picked so far today with a general consensus on the picks, I'd be grateful. Busy on the road with family stuff today.

If someone gives me a really impressive breakdown, I would be will to pay $100k Dinglebucks!

Be back later

Defense with the first 3 picks:

4th Round, No. 106 overall | Craig Woodson, DB, Cal

-6'0" 210lbs

Tested faster than he plays, which is not good for a team that needs a fast cover safety. Not a great tackler for a safety, either.

4th Round, No. 137 overall (compensatory; from Seattle) | Joshua Farmer, DT, Florida State

-6'3" 314lbs

Technique issues, and a question of strength for handling double teams. Beyond that, I'll leave this for LG to talk more about

5th Round, No. 146 overall (from Carolina) | Bradyn Swinson, EDGE, LSU

-6'4" 255lbs

Size and strength issues, and not as explosive off the ball as you'd like to see in order to make up for the thin frame.
