2025 Draft thread

Time to take a break for an hour or two. Do some yard work before getting pissed off tonight.

@everyone make sure you make your 4 picks in the stickied Draft Betting thread BEFORE 8:00! You can win $2M just on those picks.

More bets coming during the draft!

Kay Adams mangled her damn face and maybe even her tits. she used to be so cute. what the hell possesses cute women to go and wreck their faces with plastic surgery?

She wa only about 3 feet tall, and chestless. She had to do something, because she's not winning anyone over with her voice or knowledge, and she's not a DEI hire like Kimes.

Doesn't matter. I'll bitch about it anyway.😂

If no trade down, Campbell is probably the only choice. Really want a trade down though. Take Kelvin Banks and pick up an extra high 2nd.

Dingleberry:

"We can't be fucking settling for a guard in the first round, so no on Campbell!, who might end up having to move there"

Also Dingleberry:

"We might want to draft Banks, the least athletic first round tackle project, and a guy who may end up having to move to guard"

Banks is more of a LT than the guy who can't even scratch his own ball bag.

The problem with Campbell at 4 is that he would need to play like a top 10 LT in 2 years time to make it worth the pick. We do need OL help but number 4 pick should be a every year Pro Bowl player

The "worth" arguments are meaningless in this draft. The first rule of bad drafts should always, always, always be "Just draft a guy who can play in the league. Worry about positional value some other year.".

This year, the Patriots didn't fix their OT situation prior to the draft, while they did "fix" the DL with FA signings
This year, the draft is a 3 player (counting the RB) draft, and the Patriots are drafting 4th
This year, the only WR prospect worthy of a top 5 pick is likely to be taken at #3 or #3

So, this year is the year to take the serviceable OT, or the elite RB prospect, or a top TE prospect. And, if Cambell busts at LT, the blame shouldn't fall on his being drafted there. It should fall on the team not getting the OLT prior to the draft.

Campbell got abused by speed edge rushers.

Stop with that nonsense.

Campbell allowed a grand total of 5 sacks in 3 years, and only 2 in his final 30 games.
