A Mississippi police officer has been charged with forcing a person who was being booked in jail to lick urine off the floor of a holding cell, federal prosecutors alleged in court documents filed this month.

Michael Christian Green was charged with one federal count of deprivation of rights under color of law, according to a criminal information filed earlier this month.

The document alleges that Green, who was a patrolman for the Pearl Police Department, forced someone to lick urine off the cell floor after a December arrest.

The man, who was being booked after a disturbance at a Sam’s Club on Dec. 23, knocked on the door of a holding cell and said he needed to urinate, prosecutors wrote.

After a period of time, the man urinated in a corner, the document states. Green allegedly threatened to beat him with a phone and commanded him to “lick it up,” prosecutors wrote.

Green stood in a doorway while the man, who gagged and later vomited in a trash can, did so, the document says. Green recorded it on his cellphone, prosecutors wrote.

Green was charged by criminal information this month, but the case was unsealed Wednesday, according to court records. Informations are typically used by the Justice Department to charge in cases where people have agreed to plead guilty.

Green’s attorney did not immediately return requests for comment Wednesday night. Court records do not indicate a plea, ad an initial appearance was scheduled for Thursday.

A Pearl Police Department spokesman did not immediately return a call seeking more details about Green's employment or status Wednesday night.

Pearl is a city of around 27,000 east of Jackson.

A 33-year-old Florida mom is facing child cruelty charges after she tried to sell her 18-month-old daughter to a stranger, according to investigators.

It happened Tuesday, March 5, in Palatka, and the child was rescued when a passerby intervened, the Palatka Police Department said in a March 13 news release. Palatka is about a 105-mile drive north from Orlando.

A witness reports the suspect drew attention to herself by “loitering around a local business with her 18-month-old daughter” for several days, police said.

“An anonymous citizen made contact with (the woman) and asked if she and the child needed any assistance,” police said.

“(The mom) told the citizen she did not need anything but, offered to sell the child to the citizen for $500. When the citizen refused to purchase the child, (the mom) walked away, leaving her daughter behind.”

The witness “picked the child up and immediately brought her to the Palatka Police Department,” and an investigation was launched, officials said.

Staff at the business where the child was found reported the woman was known to frequent the area and a search began.

She was located on March 7 and charged “with child abuse, child neglect, and abandonment of a child,” officials said. Jail records show the suspect lives at a home on Mango Drive in Palatka.

“The child has since been placed in foster care,” police said.

A follow up with more information:

“B.E. attempted to communicate to Green that he needed to urinate,” the document states. “After waiting a period of time for a response, B.E. walked to the back of the cell and urinated in a corner.”

At some point later, Green returned to the cell to retrieve B.E. and escort him to the booking area, according to the information. When they got to their destination, another officer called Green and told him that someone had urinated in the holding cell, it says.

“Green looked at B.E. and stated, ‘Let me tell you somethin’. You see this phone? I will beat your fucking ass with it. You’re fixin’ to go in there and you’re gonna lick that piss up. Do you understand me?’”

Green again commanded B.E. to “lick it up,” and that he needed to “go suck it up right now,” the information goes on. Green returned B.E. to the cell, then stood in the doorway and instructed B.E. to “get on the ground and ‘suck it up,’” it continues.

“Green removed his duty vest and filmed B.E. while B.E. got on the ground and licked his urine,” the information states. “B.E. gagged when he made contact with the floor. In response to B.E.’s gagging, Green told B.E., ‘Don’t spit it out.’ B.E. gagged again. Green responded to B.E.’s second gagging episode by stating, ‘Lick that shit up. Drink your fuckin’ piss.’ B.E. gagged a third time. Green did not have a government interest or law enforcement purpose in ordering B.E. to lick his urine.”

B.E. was eventually permitted to exit the holding cell and return to the booking area, according to the information, which says he then “repeatedly vomited into the booking area garbage can.”

He was later transported to the Rankin County Detention Center. The incident was also captured on jailhouse security cameras.

Green, who was unable to be reached on Wednesday, is charged with one count of deprivation of rights under color of law. His attorney, Bradley Alan Oberhousen, did not respond to The Daily Beast’s request for comment.

If convicted, Green faces up to one year in prison. He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday afternoon.

Up to a whole year in prison. Fuck.

I must be the only one who gets pissed off here. Here I go again..

Another thing that grinds my gears is that because this was a female teacher and a male student, it won't be taken as seriously as if the teacher was male and it was a girl instead. Don't get me wrong, I would have loved a teacher like that when I was 12, but Mr. Bodner wasn't my type.

A Florida paraprofessional has been accused of having sex with a 12-year-old student, buying his silence with electronics and treats, then telling his family she would "quit and leave the area" after she was caught.

Royal Palm Exceptional Center Instruction Support employee Lauren King, 32, was charged with two counts of lewd or lascivious battery and was arrested on March 7, the Fort Myers Police Department wrote in a press release.

King reportedly saved the student's number to send him a photo she had taken of him and his classroom friend, according to court documents obtained by Fox News Digital.

Their interactions quickly escalated to sexual encounters, including in King's car and in the classroom, records show.

From Jan. 28 onward, King exchanged over 4,000 text messages with the victim, according to court documents, and repeatedly reminded him to delete their correspondence.

In one text message, she told the student he would get into "sooooo much trouble." In another, she told him that "if they ever go through your phone, you're getting arrested."

Those messages included nude selfies and videos of sex acts performed on herself, police wrote in their affidavit.

At one point, police wrote, King asked the student what he wanted for his birthday and said she would bring him money. After they had sex on one occasion, police wrote, she repeatedly told the child not to tell anyone about the encounter, sending him $235 and buying him an iPhone, Beats headphones and a Dell computer.

King repeatedly told the boy she loved him via text messages contained in court documents; conversely, they showed, she tried to manipulate him by telling him she was having sex with other students.

The boy's family members reported the abuse to Fort Myers Police on March 3, according to the department. When a family member called King, police said, she told them to give her a week so she could "quit and leave the area."

A warrant was issued for King's arrest on March 6, according to court documents.

In a statement to Fox 4, the Lee County School District wrote that it did "not tolerate this kind of behavior."

"The employee involved was immediately removed from the school when allegations were reported pending the outcome of an investigation," a spokesperson told the outlet.

An attorney for the victim's family told the outlet that the Lee County School District "allowed a child predator to infiltrate our most vulnerable spaces."

"This predator targeted our client, and it was only due to his vigilant parents that she was stopped," the attorney said. "The school district bears responsibility for allowing such a dangerous individual near our children... and must own up to its critical failure in safeguarding our students."

Fox News Digital could not reach an attorney representing King for comment at press time. Her next court date in Florida's 20th Judicial Circuit is scheduled for April 8, according to court records.

Sorry, but I can't go up this hill with you.

A 44-year-old man in Jefferson County, Missouri, is facing multiple criminal charges for throwing a Pit Bull puppy from the third-story window of a hotel room. Unfortunately, the 3-month-old pup succumbed to their injuries.

Reports say the suspect, identified as Michael Lott, is facing animal abuse, property damage, and harassment charges. Lott has previously served prison time and has pending felony charges for other unrelated crimes.

Court records reveal that Lott committed the sickening act last year on Oct. 7. As per FOX2 Now, Lott was in a third-floor hotel room with the puppy’s owner. The Pit Bull pup was reportedly asleep on their owner’s lap before an argument between Lott and the latter erupted.

It was then that Lott grabbed the dog and tossed them out of the hotel window. Tragically, the pup named Bitty, as per KSDK News, landed in the parking lot, sustaining severe injuries that led to their demise. Court documents say Lott threw the poor pooch with the aim of “causing the owner emotional distress.”

Furthermore, the probable cause statement presented to the court revealed Lott “showed no hesitation, second thought, or apprehension prior to throwing the puppy out of the hotel window.”

Consequently, Lott has been charged with first-degree harassment, a Class E felony that attracts a 4-year prison sentence, animal abuse, a Class A misdemeanor punishable by 1-year jail time and a $2,000 fine, and lastly second-degree property damage that carries a 6-month jail time and $1,000 fine, according to Leader Publications,

Commenting on the disturbing incident, Ella Frank, the Humane Society of Missouri‘s Animal Cruelty Task Force director, said in a statement, “It’s just heartbreaking when we hear things like this. It is important for a neighbor, a utility worker, a mail carrier, a friend, a family member, we all must remember we are the voices for animals. We have to take care of them.”

I hope this fucking bitch (to put it nicely) suffers every single moment for the rest of her stupid, useless life.

Jailyn’s cries echoed through the quiet streets of Cleveland in the dead of the night. The toddler whimpered and howled, but no one came to her rescue.

Her mother, Kristel Candelario, was away on a 10-day summer vacation and had left Jailyn alone in a playpen with a few bottles of milk, prosecutors said. A neighbor’s doorbell camera captured the 16-month old’s frequent screams, including one around 1 a.m. two days after her mother left.

But Candelario was hundreds of miles away in Puerto Rico with a male friend, authorities said. After a few days at the beach and another stop in Detroit, she returned home on June 16 last year to find her daughter dead. She’d been gone for about 10 days.

Candelario pleaded guilty last month to one count of aggravated murder and one count of child endangering.

At her sentencing Monday, forensic pathologist Elizabeth Mooney told a Cleveland courtroom that children experience the most extreme separation anxiety between nine and 18 months. She recounted Jailyn’s excruciating final days.

“The pain and suffering she endured lasted not only hours, not days, but possibly even a week,” Mooney said, fighting back tears.

“This feeling of abandonment for days on end, coupled with the pain of starvation and extreme thirst is a type of suffering I don’t think any of us could ever fully fathom.”

The toddler was found dehydrated and emaciated

A judge sentenced Candelario on Monday to life in prison, marking a final chapter in a case so grim that the investigators involved described it as the most horrific they’ve witnessed in their careers.

Law enforcement officials, including Cleveland Police Sgt Teresa Gomez, fought back tears as they described the baby’s condition.

“This is a case that … we’ll have branded in our minds and in our hearts forever,” Gomez said at the sentencing.

Assistant Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Anna Faraglia played security video of the mother hauling her suitcase to a car on June 6 and returning home on June 16. Minutes after she returned, Candelario called 911.

“Please I need help,” she wailed in a 911 call played during the sentencing. “Please, please, help me. My daughter is dying.”

Candelario had dressed Jailyn in a clean outfit before emergency responders arrived, the prosecutor said. But the change of clothes did not hide the horrors the girl had gone through, and Candelario’s sob story started unraveling.

Faraglia said Jailyn was found lying on a mattress covered in urine and feces. “Animals take care of their infants better,” she said.

The girl was emaciated, with sunken eyes, dry lips and fecal matter in her mouth and fingernails. She weighed seven pounds less than she had at her last doctor’s visit two months earlier, Mooney said.

Her parents blamed her actions on mental health struggles

Candelario’s parents pleaded with the judge for mercy.

In a prepared statement, her mother, Ketty Torres, said her daughter had battled health struggles, including mental health illness and fainting spells. When her daughter stopped taking medication, it worsened her depression and anxiety, and contributed to her inability to make sound decisions, she added.

Torres said the family was not aware of what was happening.

Candelario told the court she prays daily for forgiveness, adding that she believes God and Jailyn have forgiven her.

“I am not trying to justify my actions, but nobody knew how much I was suffering and what I was going through,” she said.

Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Judge Brendan Sheehan admonished her as he handed down the sentence.

Speaking sternly, he said Candelario left her child “trapped in a tiny prison” for days while she was out having a good time.

“The bond between a mother and a child is one of the most purest and most sacred bonds. It’s a relationship built on love, trust, and unwavering protection. … You committed the ultimate act of betrayal,” Sheehan said.

“That little baby persevered, waiting for someone to save her. And you could have done that with a simple phone call. Instead, I see photos of you on a beach while your child was eating her own feces in an attempt to survive.”

The judge sentenced her to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

“Just as you didn’t let Jailyn out of her confinement until she died, so too you should spend the rest of your life in a cell without freedom,” Sheehan said. “The only difference is that prison will at least feed you.”

At the sentencing, lead detective T.J. Powell said Jailyn will never be forgotten. His voice quivered as he read a poem in her memory:

J is for the justice that will be received today.

A is for the angel wings she earned on that dreadful day.

I is for the incremental repetition buildup of suspense for a … death that clearly makes no sense.

L is for the lack of love while alone for 11 days.

Y is for a young life that was taken away.

N is for new eternal life Jailyn gained on that day. No child should ever have to die this way.

A Kentucky couple is in jail on promotion of human trafficking charges after being accused of trying to sell their newborn twin daughters for $5,000, according to media reports.

Jackson County authorities charged the 22-year-old woman and 23-year-old man on Monday after the couple attempted to sell their children to a family member, WKYT reported.

“Fortunately, this is the first time I’ve ever had to charge this, and hopefully I never have to charge it again,” Chief Deputy Zachary Bryant with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office told the Kentucy-based TV station.

Bryant said the couple's twins were less than a year old, according to WKYT.

"Jackson County’s very small, the population’s around 13,000,” Bryant said. “Pretty much everybody knows everybody, so it is a sad situation.”

USA TODAY contacted the Jackson County Sheriff's Office but did not receive an immediate response.

How did the couple get caught?

According to the arrest report obtained by WKYT, the man's sister-in-law contacted the sheriff's office and told them the couple agreed to sell their twin girls to her for $5,000.

The sister-in-law provided screenshots and recordings of the alleged proposal to authorities, according to the TV station.

The couple allegedly admitted to the sheriff's office that they agreed to sell their daughters, but neither said they planned to go through with the sale, WKYT reported.

The couple remains in Jackson County jail with $10,000 bonds each, according to inmate records. Their next court date is scheduled for March 25, court documents show.
