A bitch thread

I hope the cops are real proud of themselves. So much for protect and serve....

In October 2022, Angela Prichard was murdered by her estranged husband, Christopher Prichard. The crime wasn't entirely unpredictable; Angela Prichard had repeatedly sought help from police months before she was killed. But officers did nothing, even ignoring Christopher Prichard's repeated violations of a restraining order.

Angela Prichard's family is now suing the city of Bellevue, Iowa, claiming that police inaction directly led to Angela Prichard's death and deprived her of her due process rights.

In April 2022, Christopher Prichard was arrested on a domestic violence charge against Angela Prichard, and a no-contact order was issued—though that order was terminated less than a month later. Around July or August, the suit states that Angela Prichard found a tracking device in her car and several hidden cameras in her home. However, when she called the police to report the devices—a violation of Iowa anti-stalking laws—the officers did nothing.

Christopher Prichard also sent Angela Prichard a series of threatening text messages, including one telling her "it is going to get real fucking ugly." A few days later, he told her he would "destroy her business." Again, when Angela Prichard informed police after both incidents, they did not act.

On September 1, 2022, a temporary restraining order (TRO) was filed against Christopher Prichard. The next day, Angela Prichard requested a police escort to go to her home, which she stated she would not be staying at until a safety system could be installed. While Christopher Prichard had recently moved out of the house, Angela Prichard and the police officers with her arrived to find "the doors bolted, utilities shut off and no business phone."

Additionally, "the home was vandalized, including the keepsake chest, hall bath damage, paint on the floor, master bath and master bedroom damage, spare bedroom damage, one mattress was moved around and smeared with dog poop, and guns were moved around the house."

The suit notes that "the abuse and harassment caused by Christopher Prichard's vandalizing the home before Angela Prichard could take possession was ignored by" the police, who did not arrest Christopher Prichard for violating the TRO.

Over the next several days, police were informed that Christopher Prichard had allegedly violated the order nine separate times. Police did eventually arrest Christopher Prichard after a 10th alleged violation, but he was released the next day and continued to harass, stalk, and otherwise violate the TRO against him for the next several weeks.

According to the complaint, Bellevue police "plainly transmitted the message to Christopher Prichard that what he did was permissible and would not cause him to be held accountable."

On October 8, 2022, Christopher Prichard went to Angela Prichard's workplace and shot her in the chest, killing her. Christopher Prichard has since been convicted of first-degree murder.

Why did the police so consistently fail to protect Angela Prichard? According to the suit, the inaction can at least partially be attributed to Christopher Prichard's habit of providing electrical work to several police officers "on a reduced fee or free basis."

"Christopher Prichard was well known to the Defendants," the suit reads. "And based upon the Defendants' conduct towards him, Christopher Prichard was of the belief that he could engage in any conduct he chose without fear of being arrested or otherwise held accountable by the Bellevue Police Department."

Further, the suit claims that police inaction rose "to the level of an affirmative condoning of private violence, even without explicit approval or encouragement."

While the inaction alleged in the suit is horrifying, it's unclear whether the Bellevue police officers at the center of the case will ever face accountability. Not only are police officers granted wide-ranging qualified immunity protections that prevent them from facing most civil suits—they also aren't even legally required to protect citizens.

Here's my bitch.this morning on Sirius NFL they were talking about Matt Ryan and they were saying how he should be in the hall of fame. I am so fucking sick of all of these just "good" players being pimped as hall of fame first ballot players. hall of fame is for the top of the profession over time. it is not for people who were pretty good. I feel like that's what the hall of fame has turned into and it's irritating as fuck. Part of it is probably recency bias but it's ridiculous. At this point the hall of fame is as watered down as a drink in a titty bar.

Don't be dissing titty bars now!!!
That's also why I stuck to bottled Buds on the very rare occasions that I went to one.

This is my response to a clown on ebay who cancelled a sale on me. He said he lost the pins I won.

I don't believe for a second that you "misplaced" those pins. You feel like you didn't get enough for them so you cancelled the sale. Maybe you should start them at a price that's more acceptable to you to begin with, that way you don't have to cancel sales. Not that hard to figure out. Personally, my reputation is worth more than a few dollars so I would honor the sale even though I know I could get more for the item. But, that's me and apparently not you. I'm guessing you also "misplaced" that Vietnam lighter that you cancelled the sale on earlier this month too. You've earned the negative feedback I'm about to leave. This is my first time leaving negative feedback after thousands of transactions. Learn to do better.

This is the story behind my messages. So, I bought a lot of pins on ebay for $39.00 and they're worth probably $300. Well, the seller canceled the sale and refunded my money. He said he "misplaced" the pins. That didn't sit well with me. I looked at his feedback and saw there was someone who left neutral feedback because he canceled that guys auction too within the last month. I looked at the item he canceled and it was a zippo lighter worth probably $120 or so but sold for $45 in an auction. I looked at his other sales and he was getting top dollar for everything. He knows the values, he's an antique dealer. He wanted to get full value for his items. He knew those two items went too cheaply, so he canceled the sales. That's a violation of ebay's selling policies. It's also just a very weaselly thing to do.
I don't take kindly to being screwed over. He fucked with the wrong person on the wrong day. It's not going to end well for him.

Message #2

Just to let you know, I reported you to ebay for violating their selling policies. I wonder how many more canceled auctions they'll find when they investigate you. Even if they choose to do nothing to you now, you'll be on their radar for your violations. You may want to re-think your selling practices.
So, just to summarize, you no longer have 100% feedback (after I left my negative feedback he dropped to 99.5%) and you're going to have ebay investigate you all because you chose not to do the right and honorable thing. I'm sure you'll get more for those pins when you sell them again. I hope the extra few dollars was worth it.

yes if you find out.

yes if you find out.
They said they're not going to contact me about his discipline, if any. I'm watching his account though and I'll see if he gets suspended for a period of time or booted off Ebay,
I don't get upset like this too often, but I felt it was warranted. He absolutely did the wrong thing. Plus, quite honestly, it felt nice to get a little aggression out.:)

Not a good week for me on ebay. I bought and paid for a pin on the 18th in an ebay auction. Right after I won the auction, the seller (a woman) messaged me with a note saying she didn't think mine would be the only bid on it. She also included her phone number. I didn't call her, but my guess is she wanted to renegotiate the price for the pin AFTER I had won it for $200. So, 11 days later after I paid, no messages and the pin isn't marked as shipped. So I messaged her twice on different days and she didn't respond to either message. So, this is my last message to her:

Ok, so you decided to ignore my first 2 messages to you about the status of this pin. This is my third and final message to you. I'm going to ask once more, have you shipped this pin yet? It's a very simple answer, either yes or no. If I don't hear back from you or have the pin in my hand by 1:00 EST today, I'm going to open a case with Ebay for item not received. I'll let them deal with you. You've had my $200.00 dollars for 11 days now. That was plenty of time for you to ship the pin and to have it arrive here. I'm trying to be patient with you because you're new, but you're choosing to ignore me. The $200.00 wasn't a loan or a donation to you. I either want the pin I paid for or I want my money back. It's pretty simple.
Your selling on Ebay isn't off to a good start.
