College Football thread

Vrabs would never take the job though. He doesn’t want to deal with NIL & the recruiting. College coaches have to deal with a lot of bullshit now & I think we’ll start to see more making the jump to the NFL.

Pats should have hired him instead of Mayo but RKK & Jonathan wouldn’t be able to put a leash on him.
Uh oh.

@OSUBuckeye probably tightening his butthole right now
They squeaked it out. They’re going to struggle with Penn State and should be on upset alert (if they’re even favored) against Indiana if their QB is back in a few weeks.

Big games against the top 25 continue to have Brian Kelly in a chokehold. No urgency, down 15, clock around 3:00 and counting. They burn about 20-25 seconds off the play clock before hiking the ball and Nussmeier eats a sack. You worthless pile of shit, Nussmeier. I wish I knew what the hell you are so I could call you a slur.

Fortunately for me, James Franklin is a worse big game coach than Ryan Day

Fuck Michigan.
Have a great week.

After Shedeur Sanders was sacked in the third quarter of Saturday’s game against Kansas, players from both sides came together and exchanged words.

Sanders, the son of Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders, made things so much worse after shoving referee Kevin Mar. He was “lucky” that it didn’t result in an ejection, Fox rules analyst Mike Pereira said on the broadcast.

“Yeah, there’s no question that he (pushes the official). Look, I get why he’s upset because people are almost climbing over him after he was down,” Fox Sports’ broadcast officiating expert Mike Pereira said during the broadcast.

“But, you know, the officials can use their hands all they want to try to keep order, but you can not come back as a player and push an official. In the chaos, the officials don’t see it, but he’s lucky he wasn’t ejected from the game.”

Shedeur Sanders seemed to become enraged after the sack when one Kansas player appeared to start celebrating while walking over him. He took exception and wanted a flag called.

Somewhere in the middle of the exchange, he appeared to push the head referee. Although he escaped not getting ejected, he might not escape what comes next.

The Big 12 could step in and access a suspension for his actions.

NCAA rules mandate automatic suspensions for certain things, like fighting or targeting, but luckily for Shedeur, making contact with an official is not part of that, per ESPN.

As for the game, Sanders completed 23 of 29 passes for 366 and three touchdowns.

Unfortunately, the Buffaloes’ defense could not do enough to stop the Jayhawks.

Kansas football running back Devin Neal racked up 207 yards on the ground and four touchdowns.

Shedeur Sanders Doesn’t Agree With Deion After Team Lost To Kansas

The Colorado Buffaloes appeared to be on the path to the College Football Playoff until they were blown out on Saturday.

The 16th-ranked Buffaloes controlled their own destiny but fell to Kansas, 37-21.

Head coach Deion Sanders said his guys “started smelling” themselves.

“We started smelling ourselves a little bit,” Sanders said after the game. “That’s what I just told our team. We got intoxicated with the success. We got intoxicated with the multitude of articles and the assumption that we’re this and the assumption that we’re that. And we did not play CU football. Therefore, we got our butts kicked.”
Shedeur Sanders did not agree.

“Personally, I’m just an overconfident person myself,” Shedeur said. “So I can’t spot that on anybody else and say they’re overconfident. I’m not sure. It was really … we all did our job preparing and doing that, so whatever people did in their personal side, like mentally, you won’t be able to know, we won’t be able to know. I’m focused on plenty of other things than how somebody is thinking at all times.”

On November 23, 1984 on a wing and prayer, Boston College shows it's not a fluke, but Flutie. That's Doug Flutie, who will clinch the Heisman Trophy with one magnificent "Hail Mary" throw. Trailing 45-41 with 6 seconds left and the ball on Miami's 48-yard line, Flutie calls for "Flood Tip," Boston College's version of everybody go deep. The 5-foot-10 quarterback scrambles back and to his right, giving four receivers time to reach the end zone. From his own 37-yard line, he plants his left foot and lets it fly, 64 yards in the air. No tip is needed. The ball goes over 2 Miami defenders and settles poetically into the waiting arms of Flutie's roommate, Gerard Phelan, a yard deep in the end zone. The touchdown gives the Eagles an incredible 47-45 victory over the defending national champions in Miami's Orange Bowl. Earlier in the game, Flutie had become the first to ever pass for more than 10,000 yards in a major-college career. Until today, no 2 college quarterbacks had ever surpassed 300 yards apiece in a single game. Flutie finishes with 472 yards, while Miami's Bernie Kosar throws for 447

Nebraska offensive line coach Donovan Raiola got manhandled by police after the Cornhuskers beat Wisconsin this past weekend.

Donovan, the uncle of the program’s starting quarterback, Dylan Raiola, is in his third year as the O-line coach at Lincoln. He was extra pumped to play the Badgers, as he was a three-time All-Big Ten selection with the school in his playing days.

And his emotion spilled over at the end of the game, as he had some words for opposing head coach Luke Fickell afterward.

Dylan threw for 293 yards and a touchdown in the 44-25 win, while the offensive line allowed the offense to gain 180 yards on the ground.

Donovan Raiola Gets Lippy and Then Gets Roughed Up

Donovan must have been hyped, given that the Cornhuskers are bowl-eligible for the first time in eight years – fans certainly were, as they stormed the field after time ran out, though there weren’t that many of them.

The O-line coach had a go at Fickell while he was walking off with his own O-line coach, Casey Rabach.

The video below shows police running toward him before he was grabbed by the arm and given a stern talking to. The situation was brought under control shortly after.

The officer who held Donovan Raiola may have gone over the top as it did not appear that there were any signs of the confrontation getting physical.

Neither school has released a statement, with Raiola and Fickell remaining mum over it as well. It appears that whatever it was is over and done with.

Wouldn’t touch him in the draft
