Film, TV, Netflix, HBO, Etc. Thread

The Bear was good until Jamie Lee Curtis came along. She’s basically like the entertainment equivalent of conceding you’ve given up.

house of the dragon season finale was .... meh.....

really surprising nothing big happened, it just sort of set things up for season 3

season 2 wasnt very exciting, but season 3 is looking to be a barn burner
I don’t get why it got hate. Among many other mistakes they made in the last two seasons of GoT, they rushed the plot. People rightfully complained. It was a garbage product. Now, all the chess pieces are in place. Keep in mind that the amount of dragons that are in this war guarantees carnage on a massive scale. They can’t really rush it all in one episode. I’m fine with them pacing it like this for longevity. Criston Cole foreshadowed what’s about to happen. That’s a man who knows that Rook’s Rest was child’s play compared to what’s about to happen.

i dont hate it and i dont expect some major dragon battle every episode, i was just surprised how many episodes went by with Daemon having his weirwood visions and nothing major really happened for a good 5-6 episodes with a season that was only 8 episodes long.. heard they were part of budget cuts by the parent company that forced them to go from 12 down to 8.. rather than cut back on these woke DEI bullshit disney movies they evenly cut across the board and took from great sister companies like HBO/Max who have a high quality product that everyone loves

i like the show, but with Game of Thrones they pretty much had a major thing happen to end each season, not necessarily a major battle or something but some climatic turning point in a side story somewhere

Season 3 is only going to be 8 episodes as well, and doesn't come out until 2026 :(

Yeah, the Daemon in Harrenhall thing was so drawn out. I think his character is going to die very soon. Same with Aemond. Idk if you read up on the books, and don’t want to spoil anything for you. But, even if you haven’t, their storylines are coming to a conclusion. There’s not really anywhere else for their characters to go.

i didnt read books but i watched a ton of youtube lore channels and got some background, so i know whats going to happen to Aemon and Daemon but i dont know all the details of whats going to happen

pretty cool ending for them, im sure that scene will be fucking epic and probly cost the show $50 million to make lol

will suck to see Daemon erased, he's my favorite character.. i also really liked Rhaenese, the Queen That Never Was.. her ending was epic but unfortunately Aegon survived which ruins it a bit.. they traded dragons, but not a great trade because Malese (probly fucking that spelling up bad) was one of the larger dragons up there with Caraxes, etc.. Sunfire was a much smaller dragon

im getting tired of Aemon and Vhagar tho, so i wont be sad to see him get impaled.. with Vhagar out of the picture, the only way this doesn't turn in into a total ass stomping by the Targareans is if one of those peasants like the douche who got Silverwing turns on her.. and obviously if that guy riding Vermithor turns on her, Vermithor after Vhagar is the largest dragon

thats where i see the politics, story etc going.. but i dont really know the details

The Bear collapsed into pretentious garbage.

Shogun is incredible so far.

I hope it brings back the franchise. 3 and 4 are masterpieces compared to what came after.
Not really a big fan of the series. I'm just going to get out of house and hang out with my friend.
