• 3 OCs in 3 years.
• Complete overhaul of offensive system in year 2, while letting the OL fall apart. Run by coaches who'd never spent even a second in that new system. And those coaches were defensive coaches in the first place.
• Not bothering to bring back the QB's favorite receiver, and replacing him with a player who's old team, and most observers, knew was already done.
• Not bothering to adequately address the other pressure relief valve position, the 3rd down RB
• Not bothering to sure up the OT positions, while the QB is a pocket passer.

Yeah... That's not on the QB. That's the head coach ruining his quarterback.

It's for the best. Now we won't be saddled with a middle of the road QB (Mac's ceiling) for the next 5 years. Belichick sucked in 2022. There is no way around that. However....

Josh leaving after 2021 was not his decision. It happened. Nothing he could do about it.

There have been reports that Belichick wanted Jakobi back but was overruled on JuJu. Maybe it's bullshit. Since we are well into Kraft meddling timeframe, maybe it's true.

Rather than clutter up the Patriots News thread or the Coach Diversity Hire thread, I wanted a place for all of the alleged reports of Grandpa Hand Job sabotaging Belichick during the past year (or more). And any Belichick leaks thru the media.

I am not sure Kraft is all that more capable than Biden. He's certainly not more coherent.

This is how I see it:

Originally people were assigning the dynasty as 40% Brady, 40% Belichick, 20% Kraft.

I think most can agree now it’s roughly 80% Brady, 20% Belichick, 0% Kraft.

Both Belichick and Kraft are trying to save their pride and reputation at this point. Both were overrated but Belichick still deserves some ample credit. Kraft never should have gotten any credit for the on field results.

Agree. There’s no way that a group of football executives would have all come to a consensus to sign JJSS. There’s a reason roughly 31 teams had no interest. One organization doesn’t get “bad info” about an injury like that. One person, without checks and balances, is capable of screwing that up though. And that concept can be applied to so many of their laughed upon draft picks and other organizational gaffes that have marked the team for 5-6 years. It can’t a bunch of them, it has to be one who is responsible for the dysfunction and terrible personnel decisions.

And it's expecially likely to happen if the one person is being petty, ditching players who dared to question the nonsense of the bizarro season.

Social justice shouldn't be mocked. If the Patriots can win football games while making a difference, all the better. I hope to see more activism out of my team. It will not distract from making a winning program, so don't go there.
