Uruguay is one of the best national teams in the Americas (historically) but has a population of 3.5M. How is that even possible?

They love their soccer lol and the local professional league sells their players overseas cheap. As soon as they hit 16 years old if they have potential they ship them to Europe. So once they play in the national team the majority of Uruguyans play in the top of the European leagues.
 
US soccer is the same as England soccer. Only difference is England has loftier goals. Both constantly disappoint.
 
I hate that the US had two decent scoring chances at the end of the game and chose headers, which seem like very low percentage goal attempts.

Uruguay might be bringing their “who really cares?” effort for the game. Oddsmakers have the game as a coin flip. USA is still 4th best odds to win the whole thing.

That said, I would not out any money on USA.
