The blown offsides call was the game. Tough to blame the team for that.
Following this up, I think I might have found an avenue to world agreement....
Make it legal for the losing teams to beat the shit out of officials who blow game changing calls.

Even with a draw they don’t advance, though I agree them losing to Uruguay on a blown call is not in itself a failure.
Yeah it should've been called offsides, but out of technicality he was on lol The foot of the US defender was just on the line and thats all that is needed with the VAR line

Soccer just has so many things that annoy me because they could fix them with small tweaks. Here’s an obvious one:
On penalty kicks, move the shooter back ~10 feet. Give the goalkeeper a shred of time to react, rather than making it just short enough that the goalkeeper is forced to guess randomly.
