I've got a relative who works for one of them. The stories, both about the company and the customers, are often extremely unpleasant. And, in terms of issues with the companies, that's almost 100% the fault of how the governments handled cable when it was just starting out.

I can imagine. Having dealt with ISP support for my clients - a Commandant Lessard's worth of ISP's across the years - I have seen the good and bad they have to offer.

And, having clients, dear Lord customers can be evil/dense/or just plain clueless.
