It was longer than that. Months.Never forget 23 years ago
I was only 10 at the time so was naive to what was going on but I do recall the whole country stopping for a few days/weeks and coming together as one. a
RIP to all those killed that day.
Yeah I do remember seeing the second plane hit after that we were all sent home. Didn't go back to school until a week or two laterIt was longer than that. Months.
I was a sophomore in high school. Second period. The TVs turned on out of nowhere (the front office controlled them) after the first plane hit. So we got to see the second plane hit in real time.
The fuck? A week or two? Lmao. That was excessive. Only the Indian kid in one of my classes got pulled out by his parents. Probably for good reason. Otherwise we stayed in school the entire day and never took any time off.Yeah I do remember seeing the second plane hit after that we were all sent home. I tend to rewatch all the live news footage every year on this day. Followed by the French Brothers documentary which was well done and hits you to the core.I'll never forget. I put together my own "mix tape" CD, with song cuts in between news items. I listen to it every year, to remind me.
Jesus Christ that sounds depressing.I tend to rewatch all the live news footage every year on this day. Followed by the French Brothers documentary which was well done and hits you to the core.
It is, but my way of never forgetting that day.Jesus Christ that sounds depressing.
Love ya Dingle. But lay off the Netflix left wing specials.Happy Mossad/CIA Day everyone. They are the ones who killed thousands of Americans.

For the record, I was stationed in the NMCC, JCS CWO from February of 2001 until March of 2004. Because of a reshuffling of my schedule to accommodate leave for the weekend prior to go home for a fucked up makeshift family reunion...I had that Tuesday off.
But I reported for duty the next morning at 0500. Had to do a days of thunder move on 395 because the black smoke was so thick you couldn't see. So I just punched it and ran through the cloud blind. I choked on that smoke for three fucking weeks as the Pentagon burned.
I typically find a way to stay busy and not watch the news on 9-11 every year. Not something I care to relieve or remember personally.
Not something I bring up often but I have enough beer in me to respond. Easy on the bullshit on this one. To many things out there that are just flat out false that I can attest to from personal experience.
No need. But you're welcome.Thank you for your service.

I meant to post this yesterday, but I got sidetracked. I usually come back to this. Bono is a massive douchebag, but this was a great performance. Plus, the memory for me as a Pats fan is a good one.
