I wonder how they'll massage the numbers to make this work.
They can always restructure Allen if they haven't alreadyI wonder how they'll massage the numbers to make this work.
See the Billdos did need another weapon out there for Allen the Jets didn't. I think Bills had the better acquisition. Jets need run defense support not another weaponI'd forgotten about the void year. As a bottom of the roster swap out, this is almost a profit for the Bills. Hell, depending upon who gets the axe, it might actually clear space.

I agree, the Bills need a legit WR and Cooper is still awesome, Watson can't hit shit, Cooper had no chance there. Their problem is still gonna be the D, and choking in the playoffs.See the Billdos did need another weapon out there for Allen the Jets didn't. I think Bills had the better acquisition. A legit #1 should make Wilson a top end #2, their line is gonna get Rodgers killed though, and they need to get healthy at DB for any chance at a playoff run.The Jets needed another WR who can get open on his own. Lazard is a product of Rodgers + scheme. Now Rodgers has 2 legit man beaters on the outside, and this should make Rodgers much more effective against the blitz.
They should still be looking for some help on the defensive side of the ball, but this should increase the team's scoring and lessen the punishment taken by Rodgers at the same time, and it's relatively cheap in terms of both money and draft capital.

Lighting may not strike twice, but the Minnesota Vikings do when it comes to trading for 2020 second-round pick running back Cam Akers.
The Vikings have now traded for Akers for the second season in a row after trading a 2026 conditional sixth-round pick to the Houston Texans in exchange for the 25-year-old running back and a 2026 conditional seventh-round pick on Tuesday. CBS Sports NFL Insider Jonathan Jones confirmed the particulars of the trade.
Minnesota lead running back Aaron Jones suffered a hip injury in Week 5 against the New York Jets in London, but he could return for Week 7 against the Detroit Lions following a Week 6 bye for the 5-0 club. Akers will compete with 2022 fifth-round pick Ty Chandler for reps behind Jones going forward...
Lions defensive tackle Alim McNeill agreed to a four-year extension Tuesday, his agent, Mike McCartney, announced. It is the second contract the Lions have extended in recent days, having signed running back David Montgomery to a two-year, $18.25 million extension.
McNeill was in the final year of his contract, paying him $3.389 million in salary and bonuses for this season.
Tom Pelissero of NFL Media report that McNeill’s deal is for $97 million with $55 million guaranteed...
The Seahawks placed starting safety Rayshawn Jenkins on injured reserve Wednesday, the team announced.
Jenkins will miss a minimum of four games before returning. He was on the practice report last week with a hand injury but played the entire game.
Jenkins, who signed with the Seahawks as a free agent, ranks third on the team in tackles with 38 and has played every snap on defense this season...
Great trade by the Bills getting Cooper.
The Giants were without two of their best defensive players at Wednesday’s practice, but both of them expect to be back on the field for Sunday’s game against the Eagles.
Edge rusher Brian Burns sat out with the groin injury that has had him on the injury report in recent weeks and told reporters after the session that he will be good to go this weekend. Defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence’s hip issue is a new one, but he also had the same message when it came to his availability for Week Seven...
The Saints have some significant injury issues as they prepare for Thursday’s game against the Broncos.
Head coach Dennis Allen said in his Wednesday news conference that receiver Chris Olave (concussion) is out. That’s no surprise, as Olave went into concussion protocol on Sunday and the Saints are on a short week.
Also at receiver, Rashid Shaheed has a meniscus injury and is out. Allen said Shaheed is headed to Los Angeles for surgery. ESPN’s Adam Schefter noted the surgery is to determine whether the receiver will be sidelined for multiple weeks or the rest of the regular season...
Wide receiver Ricky Pearsall was a full participant, returning to practice this week for the first time since he was shot in the chest during an attempted robbery Aug. 31. He remains on the non-football injury list, but the 49ers could activate him as soon as this week...
The Broncos ruled out cornerback Pat Surtain II (concussion) for Thursday Night Football.
Surtain did not clear concussion protocol after being diagnosed with a head injury in Sunday’s game.
He was estimated as a non-participant for all three practices this week.
Offensive tackle Alex Palczewski (ankle) also will not play. He was listed as a non-participant Wednesday after being limited the previous two days...
Derek Carr (oblique) didn’t practice this week. He isn’t going to start, and he isn’t likely to dress.
The Saints, though, haven’t ruled him out.
New Orleans lists the starting quarterback as doubtful for Thursday Night Football against the Broncos...
