THIS is why starting as a rookie or not is meaningless. Either you have IT, or you do not have IT. Daniel Jones does not have IT.
Going to a bad team allows you to play behind bad players. And he'd be doing it with short practice time, so he'd be setting himself up for failure. The worst thing he can do for his career right now is to suck while playing for someone other than the Giants.
Ya know, that is a fair point, Counselor. I will take your argument into consideration when I issue my ruling. Daniel Jones does not have IT! However, given the evidence presented, going to a strong team as a backup is a wise decision.
I think I am inclined to rule in your favor.
One idea I've heard floated is him signing onto a practice squad. That would let him go from there to any team, in case of an injury. I don't know if he's interested, but it does have at least some logic behind it.
