We will sign JJ, Hunter, Kirk to contracts. Having 43 million in cap space between Hunter and Kirk is going to hurt some. Hopefully they sign Kirk for 2 years at 30 per year and split the leftover between the two years, take the hit and work on someone to replace him after that. Otherwise I don’t focus much on the cap. Hopefully they can find some quality starters in the draft
 
PFF has us keeping Cousins as the most viable option. I hope so I don't want to be in QB purgatory and Cousins is good

Maybe the Vikings will decide it’s time to rebuild, but they only just missed out on the playoffs in 2023 — and that was with Kirk Cousins missing the second half of the season. He has earned a 79.0-plus PFF grade in every season in Minnesota, and while he is unlikely to break into the elite ranks in 2024, he is good enough to get the Vikings back to the playoffs, perhaps even winning the NFC North again. Getting into the postseason with Cousins and hoping for some luck to fall their way feels like the Vikings’ best option, considering who else is available at the position and where they pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Do you think Cousins might be a true ticket to purgatory? More 7-10 to 9-8 type seasons? Maybe a really bad season would be useful like we just had.

Or maybe not. Losing begets losing, as someone said.

doesnt Kirk hit FA this year? curious what kind of offers he'll get from teams, the Pats could be in the veteran QB market

although if i was a QB id want to play on the Vikings over the Pats lol, much better talent

Yes but there's talks that he wants an extension with us. He will definitely garner some attention for QB needy teams.
